Simply Red, best known for their hits "Holding Back the Years" and "Money's Too Tight to Mention," plan to reunite for a 30th anniversary tour, the band has announced.
The group last performed together in December of 2010, at their so-called "farewell" concert in London. So why reunite? Singer Mick Hucknall says, ""I like an anniversary and this is a big one. It feels like the right time."
The tour, which so far is scheduled to only visit Europe, includes 35 dates, starting in Denmark on October 20.
The tour will end with two dates in London, at the same venue that "farewell" show took place, and nearly five years to the day after it did. Tickets go on sale Friday.
"We hope you're gonna enjoy the shows as much as we will. See you there!" says an announcement on the band's website.
Simply Red, partially named after the color of Hucknall's hair, formed in 1985. The band has sold more than 50 million albums since.
