Female Low Notes and Low Register Songs

These playlist threads are fun, guys! I get so exciting looking for new examples and discovering new songs in which to listen to! This time, how about you guys post songs which showcase a female's low register very well, or songs which contain the lowest notes from female singers. A few examples that I've got are:

"Like This" - Brandy

"Automatic" - Pointer Sisters

"My All" - Mariah Carey

"Forever, For Always, For Love" - Lalah Hathaway

"Fast Car" and "Talkin' 'Bout A Revolution" - Tracy Chapman

What are some other songs with low and deep female vocals?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Automatic is my ALL TIME FAVORITE low register song and its the one style that keeps me loving Brandy.

Micky...you just blew my mind with Free Man....you have no idea how many times I have shook my ass on this song NEVER knowing it was co-sung by a female eek lol NEVER once listen to the lyrics..... That just made it EVEN BETTER!

The other clips you put up was fantastic as well. Had no clue about Esther Rolle

Music,

Lalah's choice is a definate YES!

Rachelle Farrell I believe was born with a sub woofer in her lungs...when this chic goes THERE it's in surround sound! lol

Mahalia Jackson is my pick....don't know how to put up videos.

This is a cut from the 50's but you get to hear her climb the registry up and down below with easy.

Sorry...when I hit REPLY, I get some weird "Message Inconsistency" error, so I have to respond by attaching to other posts in the same thread. I think it's our firewall at work. Anyway, check out Evelyn "Champagne" King's low notes on the bridge in the second verse of "Talk Don't Hurt Nobody." AMAZING! Also, Sylvia St. James can cook it down low TOO! smile

Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

YES! Very low notes on those verses. They're so beautiful and of course, Mariah can get down pretty low on the scales TOO! smile
