This box set looks good, but though she's still a good performer, she was past her prime onstage years ago, beyonce experience, sasha and the 4 concerts in NY were her best shows singing and dancing wise. She's maintained herself well, and as much as I wanted to support her current tours, I refrained from it cause was already spoiled earlier. Now that I think about it, Vee Jay released Introducing The Beatles. Then they released the same songs on a double album with The Four Seasons called Battle Of The Century. Then Capitol put out Meet The Beatles! which was almost the same as Introducing, except 2 songs were changed. So that's 3 versions of the same album. Then there are the US albums that are different than the UK, and there are some albums that doesn't exist in other countries. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. Capitol Records (the US branch of Parlophone) declined to release The Beatles stuff in the US. They didn't think it would sell as British acts didn't have much success before. So other labels like Vee Jay & Swan released The Beatles' records instead. Vee Jay was primarily known for R&B and blues records and it was a black owned label. They were the ones who released Introducing & the album with The Four Seasons. When these records became really popular, Capitol decided to sign the group, and so released Meet The Beatles. When The Beatles had several songs in the US Top 10 at the same time including the entire Top 5, they were from different labels.

I think they are just doing this because there isnt going to be an album for a bit. I didnt really like this album at all, i bought later on after the whole hysteria that she was a genius of marketing died down, but i traded in a few weeks later because it bored the shit out of me. I mean she is talented can sing, perform, but just she is so freaking boring now, her and mariah need to go bowling and come up with something interesting fast. I am not sure why some of ya'll want Beyonce to be this artistic artist and innovative performer when she is not and never will be. Beyonce is a brand period.
We have Janelle Monae, Jack White etc for artistry and sincerity. So why rely on Beyonce? She is not the best of the best out now.
She does not want to take risks or take time off to grow as artist, so why expect that from her?
This is how she markets her brand, oversaturation nothing new.

The whole album drop over itunes was definitly a calculated well thought out plan because her camp knew there was no sure singles after the songs they tested failed. exactly people always say RISK but there is no real risk if you are established and especially if i can go anywhere and see your face and hear your name. NO RISK at all, you can say it was something different to try and challenging to her thats fine but people attach RISK as a new hype word.
Even a band like the FOO FIGHTERS who's new album "Sonic Highways" being recorded all over using alot of OLDTIME musicians that are far from the mainstream and doing a documentary series about it, and paying for it out of his own pocket (Dave Grohl) that is, and they are an indie band, HE doesnt say the word RISK. Because he has been in this industry for 25 years now, he and that band have been going for 20 they have sold almost 30 million world wide, the new album has already sold a million worldwide in a week, but as he called it "I have to do new things to challenge myself" that is more what any of these artists are doing when they try something a little different.
