I Miss The "SOUL" Train 2 My Core Ya'll

From the mid-90's up till now I lost intrest on it with of course a few exceptions. What the hell happend?? I didn't give a damn about grammies/MTV awards and all of them but Soul Train was the only thang that got my mind now it doesn't and it really makes me sad. Back in the day, Stephanie Mills, Angela Winbush, Miki Howard, Mel'isa Morgan got their asses up on the stages singing their heart out just 2 get a reference 2 Aretha lol hell, now Ashanit SAVED all of that and got the damn award without any reference in her music or any hard work. Makes you wanna say Hmmm,,,

I miss the "REAL" Soul Train days

actually in the Mid-80's things changed IMHO.Video Acts&Catchy Fast-Food Gimmick Acts started to emerge&Cross-Over was King then.I ain't talking about Allen Iverson Cross-Over either.after MJ,Prince.Lionel,Rick,Tina,Janet,Anita,Whitney,Crossed-Over&Video really took off the Soul lost alot of His edge.New jack Swing brought some of it back but the damage was done Once Cross-over became more acceptable IMHO.Soul Train went with the flow&never looked back.that is why to this day Don Cornilious doesn't release Old SOul Train Shows because he wanted to just move on from the past&that has pissed me off just as you&others that miss the Old Train.

Soul Train died the day Don Cornelius stopped hosting. I didn't want to watch it again after that. Mr Cornelius is definately still around, he's just behind the scenes.
I really dont watch it anymore because of how they made so much change. I understand everything must change with the times, but I aint feeling it no more. I only watch the very beginning to see when they announce who's gonna be on the show. Otherwise, I aint trying to see Shemar Moore change his wardrobe every 15 minutes. (How somebody gonna try to look thugged-out to interview Slum Village onstage. But then when Tank is on, Shemar gonna sport them butt-hugger high waters).
