I don't feel D'angelo needs to up his game,just release that double album for Pete's sake. But this Lawson dude is dangerous vocally(in a good way) love his cover of D'angelo's One Mo Gin. He deserves to be mention among the likes of D' , Maxwell,Bilal,Eric Benet. He sounds soulful and very real ,authentic. not forced. | |

i thought the same when i first heard a song by jarrod. but after spinnin his record 2-3 times i got bored... don't know why. that happens with 95% of todays new stuff i listen to. interesting is the fact that i can listen to lewis taylors debut or D's Voodoo another 100 times without getting bored... | |
