Kate Bush Thanks Fans For "Surreal" Live Shows [img:$uid]http://i.imgur.com/5WwHNV2.jpg[/img:$uid]
"One of the main reasons for wanting to perform live again was to have contact with that audience. They took my breath away. Every single night they were so behind us. You could feel their support from the minute we walked on stage. I just never imagined it would be possible to connect with an audience on such a powerful and intimate level; to feel such, well quite frankly, love. It was like this at every single show. Thank you so very much to everyone who came to the shows and became part of that shared experience. It was a truly special and wonderful feeling for all of us.''

My husband and I went to the September 26th show. After much deliberation, we said the hell with it, it's a once in a life time change. We bought tickets throug viagogo (they cost a fortune, don't ask), used miles on United and took a quick four day trip from LA to London. The experience was surreal. The show was surreal. One of the best concerts I've ever seen. The playlist was almost identical to my Kate Bush playlist. The people we met were lovely and most of the crowd in the theatre that night had this dopey, awe, look about the eyes; I guess none of us could believe this was happening. Thank you Kate. I haven't stopped listening to Kate's music since we got back from London.
p.s. I'm looking forward to Bertie's music career. He won me over with his haunting vocals in the song "Snowflake," from "50 Words for Snow," and now, after seeing him perform, I'm thinking he might take over and follow in his mum's footsteps. Oh I sure hope they release this on DVD! And I hope Kate will put out a new CD in the near future... Why stop the momentum? [fingers crossed]

It was my gig of the year (or decade, come to that). An unforgettable blend of unique musical talent and theatrics. Can't wait for a DVD release to remind me of what I saw that night....

I don't make the kind of money in my job that would have enabled me to attend any of these concerts, let alone go to London from The States, however, I'm hopeful that she'll, at the very least, release a live CD and DVD package for those of us fans who missed the shows so that we, too, can have a look and a listen and be moved by our OTHER "elusive chanteusse." Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

You're welcome, Katey. And thank you too. Never thought I'd live to see the day.

I saw here on two consecutive days and it was a dream come true, not just for me but for so many people who'd travelled far and wide.
I've never heard or seen such a crowd reaction before, it was intense. I'm so glad it all went without a hitch and Kate had such a great time. Bring on the DVD! "I'm much too hot to be cool"
