I aslo had never seen Jb do an impression of Jackie Wilson dancing.

That was interesting.

I didn't see that part. They mentioned him (and Smokey) briefly.

That was during his Lawrence Welk performance.

Who's your favorite drummer:

Melvin Parker
Jabo Starks
Clyde Stubblefield

Looking at some LP credits, Melvin is pretty underrated.
PRINCE: Always and Forever
MICHAEL JACKSON: Always and Forever

Gotta go with the Funky Drummer (Stubblefield).

Aside #1- I'm 41 and didn't see my 1st James Brown live show until after he got out of prison. That was my 1st of (probably) 4 live performances of his that I saw before he died. One of the 1st things I noticed was the 2 drum kits- never saw that before and he's the only one I've ever seen do that. Nevertheless, the James Brown drumming was always on point.

Aside #2- watching the doc, I had no idea that there was a time when Brown had 5 drum kits on stage. Wish I coulda seen that- or at least some footage of what that looked and sounded like.
