saw him sing it live the whole audience was singing it classic moment I also met him off the sunset Strip back in the summer of 1979 he was sitiing in a 24 hour restaurant (it was in the wee hours of the morning) at the breakfast bar (no-one else was in the restaurant) and I urgently had to use the bathroom I ran in and asked him "Hey! did you see the girl with the blue dress on?" cuz I was looking for my friend who had ran in there b4 me to use bathroom (who happened to be wearing a blue dress) and he replied: "the girl with the blue dress on?" He was making reference to a song with the same name. at the time I didn't even know who I was speaking to.... but when I got into the bathroom I told my friend "I think I just spoke to Chuck Barry", so we went back out and said "Hello" he was very nice, he like my comment about "the girl with the blue dress on" my moment with a legend.......
