not sure what he's up to now but i saw his ziggy stardust concert film on bbc4 last week, thought

it was one of the best gigs ive seen, mick ronson was brilliant too,if anyone watches this film

they will see that bowies style and mannerisms were copied by loads of other acts,noteably

prince,gary numan,adam ant to name just a few.i suppose this gig would have been quite

shocking to some people in those days.

Which is so unnecessary! Basically it's a revamped Best Of Bowie/The Platinum Collection because they focus on the 2000s stuff a lot more. For the 1970s they just replaced a track or two (like Moonage Daydream) and that's all, not sure how any times they want to sell the same stuff when compilation sales are minimal now and those who want his greatest hits bought his compilations that have been the same for 20 years now!

David Bowie announces epic new single alongside career-spanning compilation

Sue (Or in a Season of Crime) will feature on Nothing Has Changed, which spans 50 years of Bowie’s career

David Bowie has announced his first new music since he surprised the world by returning in 2013 with the single Where Are We Now, followed by the album The Next Day.

His new single Sue (Or in a Season of Crime) – which lasts nearly eight minutes – was recorded with long-time collaborator Tony Visconti especially for inclusion on a new compilation, Nothing Has Changed, which spans 50 years of Bowie from 1964 to 2014. It will be given a separate release as a digital download and as a limited-edition 10in single.

Nothing Has Changed also features rarities to lure in Bowiephiles. Let Me Sleep Beside You comes from the 2001 sessions from the unreleased album Toy; Your Turn to Drive, previously only available as a download, makes its debut on CD; and there is a 2001 rerecording of the 1971 outtake Shadow Man.

The single and compilation will be released on 17 November. Nothing Has Changed will be available in 3CD, 2CD, double vinyl and download formats.

JoeTyler	at this point of his career, and especially after the semi-comeback (no tour I mean) that was The Next Day, this compilation sounds like a farewell...

JoeTyler	it will be very interesting to see if songs from Heathen-Reality are included; I assume Where Are We Now will be part of this compilation...

The track list is out. I could have sworn there are Heathen and Reality tracks on it. Several from Hours, too.

yep, didn't know that, thanks; New Killer Star from Reality and Everyone Says Hi (kind of disappointing) from Heathen, Slow Burn also from Heathen for the 3-cd deluxe edition...

Slow Burn and New Killer Star are great ... but Everyone Says Hi? It's not s bad song, but I'd rather see that Uncle Floyd song on there. What the fuck was that called? Slip Away?
