What are some songs (aside from Mariah Carey and Minnie Riperton) with whistle register Okay guys, this will be my last post of the week! I promise! This week's final playlist, for all of you high note fanatics out there (myself included), I'm interested in songs in which the singer sings in the whistle register:
The hard part, however, is the exception of Mariah Carey and Minnie Riperton examples
A few that I've come up with:
No Pain, No Gain- Betty Wright Autumn Leaves- Rachelle Ferrell Why Can't We Fall In Love- Deniece Williams
What are some others? Remember NO Mariah Carey or Minnie Riperton (as much as I ADORE them)!
After this post, that's all for this week folks! I'll be out of your hair! [Edited 10/1/14 14:56pm] [Edited 10/1/14 14:57pm]

Chante Moore, has a "whistle" register. Check out her songs, "Searchin'" and, "As If We Never Mer", from her debut. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

Taral Hicks - Silly (cover of Deneice Williams) mostly at the end of the song.

Besides Mimi and Minnie, Chante, Betty, Rachelle and Deniece are really the only other singers I can think of who can really go up that high. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

Shakespear's Sister featured Marcella Detroit singing in an ultra soprano that comes pretty darn close to the "whistle register.'
Check out "Stay" - their biggest hit. Here is a link to another favorite, "You're History."
