The last one because she was really developing, getting into more studio work etc...not crazy about the first one at all, kind of like Alicia Keys first album, i just never got into it, Aaliyahs second you heard the growth and by the 3rd she was really there. I agree! It's an even album, ( in terms of being consistent) from the first track to the last. The Red album, by far. It was ahead of its time, IMO. More Than A Woman is urban/r&b perfection.

Her last album. Her catalog holds up pretty well. Most of all the songs on her last album and "Back and Forth" from her first album always get heavy radio play. Her last album is a classic in my opinion and was way ahead of its time with songs like Loose Rap being a main highlight. People always try to say that if she was alive things would still be the same but I don't think thats true. With her last album, Aaliyah had really came up with a unique sound for her music that still gets heavy play till this day.

The last one by far. FOOLS multiply when WISE Men & Women are silent.

Her last album was the most creative though I liked it more after her death. Was still stuck on One In A Million and her soundtrack singles after it when the final album had first come out that summer. I still hear the soundtrack singles and Back and Forth often on the radio.

I think that's because people didn't care for thesound on the last one initially. around that time singers were singing over hip hop samples. The last one visually, sonicallyand lyrically where her most creative and I think people finally appreciate that. You have a variety of sounds.

There is NO QUESTION the last album was her best! I remember the L.A. evening when the news broke that she had died. People were calling into the Beat in tears, beside themselves. Like a week later I got fired from my job on a Sunday evening (with a voice mail, no less) and was told I had to turn my keys in on Monday. I went in that Sunday night and cleaned out my desk and swiped the LA Times Aaliyah obituary/writeup that was pinned to the wall next to somebody else's desk in our office. I think they ust have been pissed when they came in on Monday and it was gone. Oh well, fuck 'em. If thast person reads the .org IT WAS ME.
