Hardly anybody really sells alot of CDs these days, anyway. But if she can get a few hit singles from this album, that will be enough.
I LOVE "I Can't Describe" with its Evelyn "Champagne" King sample up in there! It's TIGHT!
I don't think Pharrell credited Kashif or Evelyn on the track. They got THICKE'd! |

I like that Pharrell is making nods to the old school, but he's been walking a thin line lately with theft. Just like "Blurred Lines," he doesn't sample the song- but he's re-creating the vibe.
And with "He Ain't Going Nowhere," I swear I've heard that "vibe" in another old school jam. |

The other writer on these lifted tracks is always T.I., so maybe he eggs Pharrell on. |

Someone tell me why a Jennifer Hudson album is labeled explicit. I picked it up yesterday. Dangerous is a standout track. Like Soul mentioned a few songs on this album are the strongest material of her career. This is only the second new cd I bought this year. Hopefully I'll buy a 3rd come next week if the material is kickin.
because Ms. Hudson used a "bad" word... in one of her songs.
Explicit album rating, is like the difference between R and PG movie ratings.... or, the goody goody rating the curse of death G. I think Hudson maybe starting to come into her own. Some of the songs, sounded like someone elses material but if Hudson continues to grown as an artist/songwriter... I hope her music wiil be more of a personal stamp.

I remember when Prince's Graffiti Bridge album came with a parental warning sticker and the only offensive word was "pee" in "We Can Funk" |
