Alas, thanks to a number of well publicised creative missteps in 2011, the ‘Paparazzi‘ hit maker now finds herself tasked with crawling back on the pedestal the success of debut album ‘The Fame’ handed her in 2008.
Now, she finds herself in the shadows of the chart-rocking ladies above. Disagree?
Read the singer’s recent interview with ‘CBS Sunday Morning’ where she discussed the high standard she was unable to reach with her latest LP ‘ARTPOP‘ last year, and how and why she feels she “crashed.” Where this honesty can be found? Below…
She revealed:
I felt like people were holding me to a pretty high standard.Everybody’s hooting and hollering because, you know, I didn’t sell 20 million records this time, which I did with my first album. And you know, it’s not easy to replicate that. And you just – I don’t have a formula. I have to make sure everything was okay. Because it wasn’t. You know, it’s one thing to put a train on the tracks. But it’s another thing to keep the train on the tracks. You can’t just let a train out on the tracks and just run it out… I crashed.
