Hahahahaha.....so lemme see here,

Thicke now says he wasn't the one who did the actual thievery because he was high as a kite and just kinda, sorta acted like he helped write the song?

Translation: Now that we got caught ass-out and I'm getting burned, Imma throw Pharell under the bus....it was all his idea.

Y'all slow....dude tryna limit his liability, lol

I wonder what Pharell, ("new black") Williams is gonna say about this?

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

One big'OL WOW.....So basically all Pharell had to do was Credit Marvin Gaye on the track for using the sample and not Credit Robin as a Co-writer. I like Pharell but his hands are just as Dirty as Robin's. They did some Dirty Inudstry Shit Modern day style...How much money does Pharell need that he has to go around using Samples then not give credit for the finished production.....At this point I think I'm more disappointed in Pharell becuz he's a Powerful producer and he thought the Gaye Family wouldnt notice....Robin simply wanted cross-over success so bad he'd Say, Do & Fuck anything to get some mainstream Fame...It wouldnt surprise me if he Sucked Pharell's Dick while he was begging for a Credit...

Not sure how anyone could be so stupid as to think the Gaye family wouldn't notice. The first time I heard the song ALL I heard was Got To Give It Up.

When I heard Weird Al's parody I hadn't heard "Blurred Lines" yet because I wholeheartedly ignore

conterporary hit music and when I heard "Word Crimes" for the first time I was like why is Weird Al doing a parody of "Got To Give It Up"? lol

Get the heck out of here. I read this crap on my Yahoo home page and all I thought was, here we have a guilty fool who's trying to get out of the legal jam he so flippantly turned his nose up to with the Marvin Gaye estate. I used to enjoy Thicke's music and concerts years ago---in addition to his talent, part of his public appeal was his humility and easy ability to express his indebtedness to to the influence of legends like Gaye on his artistry. But ever since he achieved mainstream stardom with that song, he became full of himself and actually thought he could bite the hand that fed him with all his newfound pomposity, and audiences would actually stick around for his bullshit. Chile please. One taste of mainstream fame that eluded you your entire career, and you couldn't handle it; started acting brand new believing your own hype and f**ked your own self up. Betta sit down somewhere or go back to being behind the scenes, because no one wants to see OR hear his entitled punk ass whining about a mess that never had to happen in the first place had he not been so far up his own rectum.

Dummy.

He wasn't honest until he got sued.

And I'm not sure he's being honest now. Like you said, it seems like he's throwing Pharrel udner the bus.

I don't think I'd trust anything Thicke says.

Read Robin's depo and he is comicaly evasive. I didn't believe he was telling the truth about being too high to know certain things.

Reading through Pharrell's depo now and I just fell out my chair laughing at the part where he claimed he could read music but then started sweating bullets when given a piece of sheet music to read under oath. Dude was like "I'm not comfortable." Lawyer goes. "Sir, I didn't ask if you are comfortable. Can you tell me the name of the note?" Pharrell, "I'm not comfortable".

Pharrell testified that Blurred Lines was...I shit you not... a bluegrass song!! biggrin He also claimed he was a formally trained percussionist, but when the lawyer got him to cut the bs, it turned out his training was 7th grade band class!!!! biggrin WTH? I guess I need to update my resume! Let's see...I'm a professional kazooist, because I played kazoo in elementary school. I'm a trained biologist because I took Biology in high school. What else? I'm a professional athlete because I used to play dodgeball, lol.

The funny thing about Pharrell not being comfortable reading music is his very own words just a year ago on the similarities between the two songs:

If you read music, all you have to do is read the sheet music. It's completely different.
