Exclusive details on Madonna Rebel Heart

We are happy to give you some exciting details on Rebel Heart, a song that Madonna love so much and will be definitively included in her forthcoming album. After all, she has been using the #rebelheart hashtag so much.

Rebel Heart is a very sincere and self-critical song, and every fan can relate to its great lyrics. If in Veni Vidi Vici Madonna talks about her career, in Rebel Heart she talks about her life… in a comprehensive way.

Rebel Heart is absolutely one of the best tracks from her upcoming album, with its chorus as catchy as the chorus of La Isla Bonita. Even though it is not our favourite new track, Rebel Heart definitely has to be a single.

In Rebel Heart Madonna sings what it feels like to be not like the others – “thought I belonged to a different tribe [...] tried to fit in, but it wasn’t me” she sings – and take “the road less traveled by.” But she proudly sings that “through the darkness somehow I survived.”

The song starts with Madonna confessing that she lived her life like a masochist, with her father saying “Told you so, told you so. Why can’t you be like the other girls?”

I’ve spent some time as a narcissist / Hearing the others say “Look at you, look at you!” / Trying to be so provocative / I said “Oh yeah, that was me!” / All of the things I did, just to be seen.

Rebel Heart is one of the songs that have changed the most. It started as a country folk track, then it was dance with a more evident Avicii‘s touch, and then it became a more mid-tempo pop song with a fresh and happy sound. Like most of the songs that Madonna co-wrote with Avicii, it is like Avicii adapted to Madonna, not the other way around. Expect a lot of acoust guitars, but not as prominent as in the other tracks recorded with Avicii.

As we at DrownedMadonna.com already told you, Madonna‘s new album will be released in 2015, with Madonna wanting no rush and a deadline, so that she can have all the creative freedom to bring us something special.

Keep in mind that there is not a final tracklist yet. Stay tuned…

New tracks “Borrowed Time” and “Hold Tight” from Madonna’s new album revealed – EXCLUSIVE
Madonnarama can confirm that Madonna has already recorded over 40 different songs in various styles for her upcoming album.
She has worked with many producers and collaborators, including Avicii, Diplo, Natalia Kills, Martin Kierszenbaum, S1, Toby Gad, MoZella, MNEK and even Pharrell!
We can reveal some new exclusive details…
Borrowed Time
This track, produced by Avicii, has Madonna asking for a revolution in order to challenge the world we live in.
It’s a hopeful song about love and tolerance, singing “It all comes down to who’s wrong or right, who’s black or white, rich or poor, virgin or whore… Doesn’t matter underneath it all…”
On a cool folky/dance tune, Madonna calls for people to love one another like there’s no tomorrow as our time on earth is only borrowed.
Lyrically, it’s by far the best “Art for Freedom” themed song we heard.
Keep in mind that no final tracklist for the album has been decided yet and that we’re reviewing demos, not the finished/mastered tracks.
Hold Tight
One of the tracks Madonna recorded with Diplo is called “Hold Tight”. It’s a very cool R’n’Pop number with a cute and positive message about love.
The song deals with the power of love being the only thing we need to survive the toughest challenges life throws at us.
Like Madonna says, “hold tight, as long as you’re by my side, everything is going to be alright” and “if you hurt then I wanna be the one that’s bleeding.”
It’s a mid-tempo song that includes the signature Diplo trap sound and features some male R&B background vocals.
There’s also a little stripped-down musical break that only includes Madonna’s vocals and a piano.
It definitely has some potential.

I can only hope every collaborator competed with each other to make THEIR track better than the next man's, like when Nas had Large Professor, Pete Rock, DJ Premier, and L.E.S. on Illmatic. lol

What would be great is if Madonna could whittle it down to nine unfadeable, undeniable hits. She might even have to say "sorry, Pharrell!" if his contribution ends up sounding like filler against the rest.

No matter what it will be a headache to sequence. evillol

Madonna loves for her producers to compete with each other lol During the recording of Hard Candy, she playfully pitted Timbaland against Pharrell...she would say "Tim,you should hear this amazing track that Pharrell played me last night!",lol...and he would try to top it.The best-sounding tracks would appear on the album. It's a fun game and it looks like she's doing it again this time.

There are always a few up and coming producers she can take. wink Fans have been wishing for Diplo for years. And she managed to skip a couple of mega-popular producers, like Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, Dr. Luke & Max Martin or RedOne...

Details on the song "Heartbreak City"

Exclusive details on Madonna Heartbreak City

We are excited to reveal some details on Madonna‘s Heartbreak City, a stunning new track that will blow you away!

Heartbreak City has changed during the creative process. It started as a piano ballad, it then had a more dance imprint, and now it is a different kind of ballad. It is very industrial and it sounds like it came from a dark, comic book movie. It is a new Madonna, even if it is very Madonna. You can barely realise that it was co-produced with Avicii.

As also The Sun reported, in Heartbreak City, Madonna talks about the end of a relationship, but it is not clear if it is about Brahim Zaibat or Guy Ritchie.

“You tore me into pieces, you didn’t have no damn reason,” sings Madonna.

"You had a few secrets / I was never told /Now everyone’s talking / And I’m the last to know."

Madonna‘s voice is angry and very strong! Definitely, you are going to love it, especially when she sings “I’m in the middle of Heartbreak City.” And most of all, there is no vocal effects!

But you will be impressed also by the choir, that is someway used also as an instrument. We can describe it as quite operatic. In Heartbreak City, it’s the first time Madonna sings about regret.

"I curse the day we met / Your memory is haunting me / I wish I could forget."

Heartbreak City deserves to be included in her upcoming album. We also think that it should be a single. (source: Madonnarama)

Alicia Keys talks about collaborating with Madonna

What was it like working with Madonna on her new album?
It was good. I was in here doing a meeting or something and she was working with Diplo. They were like, “Oh, maybe you can play some piano on this thing.” And I was like, “Alright. I’ll try. If you hate it you can take it off.” It was just like that, casual and cool.

^So cool that Alicia Keys will feature on the new album the same way Wendy Melvoin did on Hard Candy!

Since there is no news, let's appreciate some old Madonna music, like this Erotica remix that was used in the live version at The Girlie Show:
