Reggae music is still huge, and always will be in its home country and certain communiites around the world, although I've drifted away from being a keen follower of it in the last few years.

Its still predominantly Jamaican music made by Jamaicans for Jamaicans. Can you take the modern dancehall stuff? I found it harder and harder to love with the slackness, gangsterism and weed anthems. Got tired of the Rasta lyrics too as I'm not slightly religious.

Some of may favourites from when I last cared alot about reggae...

All big people music 'bout love

Hope you don't mind vids in your thread

Reggae got kicked to the backseat by Dancehall. But other than that, reggae is still alive and well. Just go to any annual reggae festival. Some cities (especially New Orleans) has a few nightclubs that have reggae bands for live shows.

Oh, and be safe with the weed . lurking
