If You Let Me Stay - Terence Trent D'Arby Just when I thought Sign Your Name or Holding on to you was his best song I heard this gem months ago and I just don't tire of it. Does anyone else really like this song? I think the intro is quite unique to build up the tempo.
Also apart from almost the whole of his first album, holding on to you and O'Divina does anyone else struggle to like the result of his music? If not what, other songs do you like? I haven't heard anything from wildcard to now apart from o'divina so if anyone knows any good songs they could recommend from this period id appreciate it. I'm feeling a bit fammy™

Here's the group he was in, The Touch, in this thread. He isn't the only lead singer though. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

You need to check out his 1995 album Vibrator if you haven't already. That's where Holding On To You is from, but there's lots of other great songs on it. The title track is a favorite of mine, and Supermodel Sandwich. And yeah, some of his music is really inaccessible, IMO. I couldn't get into "Neither Fish Nor Flesh" at all, nor anything he's released after "Wildcard". |

One of his best. "Not everything that is faced can be changed; but nothing can be changed until it is faced." - James Baldwin
