You gotta admit that some of that stuff does seem highly believable. I just got caught up in the new tea about Nick Cannon and Amber Rose supposedly messing around lately. Who knows if it's true but only time will tell. Wendy Williams apparently is saying those two are messing around as well, so we shall see! Trolls be gone!

Hahaha I feel you NaughtyKitty, I just thought it'd be fun to discuss it with other fellow Bruno Mars fans that arent't all about gossip xD... I do think that Bruno could be slightly controlling and he aint no angel, that's for sure - very few people are in the music biz. He isn't the monster that LSA portrays him as tho...

Its totally cool GoldDolphin It is actually fun to discuss here and I like that the ppl here are more objective and not so--gossip hungry like LSA lol! Like in that Lava Juice thread over there, I was laughing while reading it but at the same time I was appalled and pissed rhat so many ppl were totally believing her story!! That incog's claims were so far fetched and it read like some really bad fan fiction, but so many ppl ate it up and took her crazy claims as gospel! At least in the other DBTH thread--at least her claims sounded a little bit more credible. MJ L.O.V.E: https://www.facebook.com/...689&type=2 / YOUTUBE: http://www.youtube.com/us...nderSilent

Well I cant speak on any of the other tea threads there, I dont really read them although I have read a couple. Some of the stuff I've read does seem very believable, for example ppl who are (or at least claim) that they are makeup artists or hairstylists, part of the crew or etc who make some tea threads about what it was like working with a celebrity, I think those are the most credible. But the stuff claimed in the Bruno Mars tea threads were mostly made up or highly exaggerated. I'd say the claims are about 8% (maybe less) legit and the rest is made up BS. Interesting, so Bruno is a co-founder and co-owner of a rum alcoholic drink called "Selvarey" Rum takes a shot at the craft marketSelvarey brings upscale rum to the U.S. market Published: May 12, 2014 Updated: May 14, 2014 2:35 p.m.
Rum. It’s what you drank in college. Seth Gold heaved a big sigh as we pondered that seemingly inviolable rule of the spirits world. Captain Morgan’s cocky pose says it all: Rum is a drink for those who value good times over good taste. Gold, his brother Marc and their brother-in-law Robert Herzig are out to change that prejudice. They’re rum lovers, and they hope their new company, Selvarey, will do for rum what Pappy Van Winkle did for bourbon: propel a downscale drink into the upper echelons of the liquor universe. Selvarey was born after many years of frustration, Seth said. “My brother spent a lot of time in Central America and South America. Rum is such a big deal down there. He would come back and talk about nothing but rum. We all got a little bit annoyed by how little people cared about rum in the U.S.” Here’s where the Selvarey story gets interesting. Seth spent about 10 years in New York as a songwriter and achieved moderate success. A close friend was the manager for another struggling musician who shared his group’s passion for rum. His name was Bruno Mars. “Bruno is from Hawaii. His dad is from Puerto Rico and his mom is from the Philippines. They’re both big rum countries. Bruno has been enjoying rum his whole adult life.” With fame came discernment, Seth said. “Bruno was getting more successful but still drinking not the highest quality stuff. He was coming to the same conclusion as we were: There’s got to be something more sophisticated out there, something to graduate to.” Mars is a co-founder and co-owner of Selvarey; Seth described him as the company’s creative director. “He was very involved with the designing of the label. He’s the one who came up with the name.” Seth and his rum-loving crew began to shape their plan about three years ago. “We honed in on white and flavored rums. People associate (the latter) with hangovers and cruise ships and overly sweet drinks. We felt that if we could do a premium-quality white rum – good enough to be a sipping rum to drink on the rocks or as a digestive – and then a good flavored rum that mixed well in cocktails, we could market those.” Their search for a master rum maker led them to Central America, where their dream boy resided: Francisco “Don Pancho” Fernandez, the former Cuban minister of rum (arguably the best job in the country next to Cigar Czar), who had been making legendary rum in the Panamanian jungle for more than three decades. (Hence the name “Selvarey,” which means “king of the jungle.”) “We kept running into his name during our research,” Seth said. “Aside from being a master blender for Havana Club, he was creating these very expensive, esoteric, $400-a-bottle rums.” After searching fruitlessly for a rum maker in California, then offshore, the group finally went to see Don Pancho. “His Havana Club 3-year-old was close to what we were aiming for: not harsh, over-proof English navy rum or that funky, pot-still Jamaican taste, but Spanish style – aged for several years in bourbon barrels, giving you that smooth, vanilla-and-caramel taste.” Don Pancho was intrigued by their goals but doubtful of their rum’s marketability. “He said, ‘Nobody in the U.S. orders white rum on the rocks. You won’t sell any of this.’” But after the maestro came up with a blend of 3- and 5-year-old barrel-aged rums that they liked, the Selvarey team committed to 1,000 cases. Now they’re shopping it around to retailers and bars, encouraging mixologists to use the cacao in cocktails or coax more adventurous barflies to try the white on its own. You can find Selvarey rum at a few retailers in L.A. and O.C.: Mel and Rose Liquor and Deli in West Hollywood, Hi-Time Wine Cellars in Costa Mesa, the Walgreens at the corner of Sunset and Vine. I encountered it (and Seth) at Crossroads, a new high-end vegan restaurant on Melrose. The talented bartender, Jeremy, has created a wonderful cocktail with Selvarey rum. Selvarey recently cracked the Palm Springs market, and its Northern California rollout happened last weekend. As demand grows, Seth anticipates a second order of 3,000 to 4,000 cases. Will Bruno Mars be singing Selvarey’s praises anytime soon? “We’re really trying to avoid that kind of celebrity endorsement,” Seth said. “You’re not going to see any cardboard cutouts of Bruno with a bottle in his hand. We’ve done some backstage tastings at his concerts, but that’s about it so far. Some people think of celebrity-endorsed liquor as gimmicky and just bad.” (I know what he means. One of my strangest rum experiences was running into former porn star Ron Jeremy at Hi-Time, hawking his product, Ron de Jeremy, alongside his much less haggard-looking cardboard doppelganger. “Smell this!” he told me, unscrewing a bottle of his finest. Imagine what it feels like when Ron Jeremy orders you to sniff something.) Selvarey’s white rum retails for $25; the cacao is $29. Find out more about the company at www.selvarey.com Notice the jungle theme and gorilla on the label design. Bruno loves booze (his song: Moonshine), the jungle (his tour: Moonshine Jungle Tour) and gorillas (his song: Gorilla) Read a full review of the drink here: http://spiritsreview.com/...acao-rum/ The name Selvarey (roughly translated) means “King of the Jungle” and is an homage to the Master Francisco Fernandez whose name is legend in rum circles That jungle theme again lol.

Naughty Kitty, I skimmed over this article and it seems like the beginning of the end for Bruno These "backstage tastings" are questionable too. Someone wants this dude to be an alcoholic so that he can make for a great Lifetime TV special Trolls be gone!
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Wow, the beginning of the end? Really, cuz that's not what I got at all reading the article. I think this shows off his business side and its cool to see him branch out into other things that arent music related but that he's also passionate about, even if it does have to do with alcohol lol. Bruno is a man of many interests and passions, and what is great about his involvment with Selvarey is that he isnt publicly endorsing it, he's not trying to make himself into a brand like so many other celebs do like release lines of clothing, perfume, etc. Which is very typical of many singers to jump on the clothing and fragrance line bandwagon. But leave it to Bruno to go down the unorthodox route and help create a rum, something you wont see too many celebs doing and on top of that not publicly endorsing or advertising it! He did this because it was something he felt strongly about and was really interested in and he didnt want his celebrity attached to it. That's how I look at it. I dont see anything all that questionable about his backstage tastings, this is something he helped create so why not have it available for himself and/or a small group of people backstage at his concerts? So far he seems to be in control of his drinking and I pray he stays that way. You Can’t Memorize This by LilySarahGrace
This KICKSTARTER campaign is to raise money to produce the LilySarahGrace book, entitled, YOU CAN’T MEMORIZE THIS. All proceeds from book sales will go to support arts infused education in underfunded public elementary schools throughout the country. YOU CAN’T MEMORIZE THIS is a compilation of drawings based on the concept that all great thinkers think outside the box. LilySarahGrace has enlisted some of the best, brightest and most unique thinkers of our generation to raise awareness for arts infused education in underfunded public elementary schools.
Everyone participating in this project is an individual who has inspired the idea that you can succeed if you color outside the lines. It is by doing so that allows us to dream and soar. Indeed, it makes the world a much more interesting, exciting and colorful place. We handed artists from a number of different disciplines a sketchpad These are the results. CONTRIBUTING ARTISTS: ADAM SCOTT Stars Take Part In LilySarahGrace Color Outside The Lines Campaign
LilySarahGrace (LSG) today announced its latest fundraising campaign, “Color Outside the Lines,” based around drawings from more than 40 artists in film, television, music and visual art that were specially created for LSG. The campaign will officially launch on Saturday, October 25, 2014, at the first-annual LSGGala at Jack Studios (601 W 26th St). Featured artists in the campaign include Adam Scott, Ben Harper, Bruno Mars, Carole Feuerman, Casey Affleck, David Copperfield, Diane von Furstenberg, Ed Helms, Elizabeth Banks, Elle Fanning, Eric Bogosian, Helen Ficalora, Jack Black, Jason Bateman, Jason Schwartzman, Jemima Kirk, Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Biel, Joaquin Phoenix, Johnny Knoxville, Julianna Marguiles, Julianne Moore, Justin Theroux, Justin Vivian Bond, Laura Dern, Laurie Simmons, Lena Dunham, Lionel Richie, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Mario Batali, Mark Seliger, Mary-Louise Parker, Naomi Watts, Natasha Lyonne, Nigel Sylvester, Rufus Wainwright, Sage Vaughn, Scott Caan, Tina Fey, Tom Arnold, Whoopi Goldberg, Will Ferrell and will.i.am. As part of “Color Outside the Lines,” LSG has launched a Kickstarter campaign to publish these one-of-a- kind drawings into a book, titled You Can’t Memorize This. For more information about “Color Outside the Lines” and to donate to the cause, click here. “My daughters were creative beings, each with their own individual passions and gifts. All three shared challenges in literacy. I witnessed Grace flourish in a creative, art-infused classroom, and Lily panic in a rigid, traditional one. No child should be frightened by school. Sadly with the removal of the Arts, this is very common in Public Education today,” LSG Founder Matthew Badger said. “This campaign is all about promoting the joy of creativity. I just think it is really awesome that so many creative people showed up for this and took the time to do a drawing. The family of LilySarahGrace suddenly just got so much bigger! I hope this campaign furthers our reach into the classrooms across America. The country is filled with public elementary school teachers that are desperate to bring the arts into their classrooms. They know how art creates a love of learning for their students.” LSG provides underfunded schools with supplies and educational tools to teach their curriculum through the arts. Whoopi Goldberg, Charles Best and Hans Tullman will be honored at the Gala for their significant contributions and dedication to arts education. LilySarahGrace was founded by Matthew Badger and his partner, Abby Ballin, after his daughters – Lily, Sarah and Grace – tragically passed away in a fire on Christmas of 2011. Lily was 9 and twins Sarah and Grace were 7. Badger witness firsthand how vital the arts in school were for his girls because of their dyslexia. Art was their passion. Since April 2012, LSG has given $1 million in supplies to teachers in underfunded public elementary schools to teach their curriculum through the arts. Because of LilySarahGrace, 140,000 children have learned through this method in classrooms all over America. To learn more, visit www.lilysarahgrace.org. In addition to “Color Outside the Lines,” the Gala will feature specially designed charms from Helen Ficalora, based on a drawing by Sarah Badger. The charms are available in yellow, pink or white 14k, solid-gold – with a diamond charm or without – and sterling silver. Pricing ranges from $75 to $300. 25% of the proceeds go to LSG. Oooh what made them start talking about Bruno? A lot of people have said that he's the next MJ...tbh I have mixed feelings about that. I'm a longtime MJ fan (as evidenced by my siggy) and although being hailed as the next Michael Jackson is a huge compliment, I feel it does them both a disservice. One, because there will never be another Michael Jackson. Ever. Period. He was a one of a kind and I dont believe we will ever get "another Michael Jackson." Which leads me to my 2nd reason of why the MJ comparison that Bruno gets makes me uneasy...Yes Bruno has some definite similiarities to MJ in sound, music, and when he wears his hair in the natural curls, he even somewhat resembles Off The Wall-era MJ! In some of his songs and live performances, Michael's influence on Bruno is apparent. But Bruno is an artist in his own right and deserves to shine in his own spotlight and I feel like when people say he's the next MJ it takes away from him a little bit. I dont want him to be put in MJ's shadow and I have a feeling that Bruno feels the same way too On one hand it is a very big compliment to Bruno but on the other hand those comparisons could take away people recognizing his artistry and identity in its own right. But I think he will be just fine regardless MJ L.O.V.E: https://www.facebook.com/...689&type=2 / YOUTUBE: http://www.youtube.com/us...nderSilent

I completely agree with everything you wrote, There will never be another MJ at all. No matter how much people try to fit a lot of today's artists in that category. The ladies mentione Bruno because they were talking about how the music industry only focuses on making a hit single instead of the concept of an album. They were also asking who will be the next Michael Jackson and that's when Bruno was mentioned. Sharon Osborne said that Bruno is a mult-instrumentalist, producer, writes music, etc. and said that he was the next one. I'm surprised that there wasn't a comparison to Prince made instead because I think that description best fits Prince instead of MJ. One thing that was kind of funny is that Aisha at first was thinking, "Oh, what's that guy's name, I always forget" and the other ladies chimed in at the same time "Bruno Mars" lol. It was cute.
