Soul, you sound like all the other gay boys on her fb page that are bitching and moaning about tracklists and missing mixes. Maybe perhaps her estate didn't want everything out there.

That was a common complaint with the Tabu reissues. Missing remix/extended versions and of course, the vinyl rips. Keep in mind this is a European company reissuing these titles. They can't always license certain songs or versions of songs that were originally released on an American label. So either they have to opt for a vinyl rip or nothing at all.

Kit not the same complaints, the are all bitching about missing mixes and bootleg remixes which they run to Discogs to see why this and that isnt on there, and the biggest complainer and mrknow it all is a David Bentley. Also I wonder why Driven By The Music aka the Donna Summer estate didnt allow this in US markets.

The Allman Brothers Band The 1971 Fillmore East Recordings on 200g 4LP, 3CD, or 6CD Box Set
New Expanded Version of the Band's Famous Fillmore East Recordings featuring Previously Unreleased Tracks from March 12-13, 1971 & the Iconic Venues Final Weekend on June 27, 1971
.
Remixed and Mastered from the Original Multi-Track Tapes by Kevin Reeves at 4th Floor Studios, NY
.
New Liner Notes by John Lynskey, Publisher of Hittin' The Note
One of the best live albums of all time is about to get considerably better. The Allman Brothers Band’s cornerstone live LP, At Fillmore East, compiled from the four sets recorded on the weekend of March 12-13, 1971, has been expanded, stretching over four 200g LPs with previously unreleased bonus tracks. Additionally, The 1971 Fillmore East Recordings contains material from the June 27 performance during the iconic venue’s final weekend, after the band was handpicked by impresario Bill Graham to headline closing night.
.
Produced by Bill Levenson, who compiled the definitive Skydog: The Duane Allman Retrospective, The 1971 Fillmore East Recordings captures the most inspired improvisational rock unit ever at the peak of their prodigious powers, blazing their way through extended instrumental elaborations, so taut and virtuosic, that the crowds that packed the Fillmore East on those memorable nights were utterly transfixed. When it came to live performance, no other band could touch the Allmans.
.
In his scrupulously detailed notes for the set, Allmanologist John Lynskey writes: “From its inception in March 1969, the Allman Brothers Band rapidly established a near-mythical reputation through its incendiary, marathon concerts. No other group could touch the Allman Brothers when it came to extended, improvised jamming; they truly were in a league and dimension of their own. Duane Allman was joined by his brother Gregg on keyboards and vocals, the dual drumming combo of Jaimoe and Butch Trucks, bassist extraordinaire Berry Oakley, and Dickey Betts, Duane’s foil on guitar. Together, these individually talented artists blended into a unit whose sum exceeded the total of its impressive singular parts. The group toured relentlessly - they spent 300 days on the road in 1970 - honing their sound and building a loyal fan base, one show at a time. An Allman Brothers’ concert could not be explained, it could only be experienced, and by word of mouth, the group became known as ‘the people’s band’ for their no-frills approach to live music.”
.
As Lynskey notes, the Allman Brothers Band’s magic has always existed primarily on the concert stage, but on the weekend of March 12-13, 1971, when they rolled into Manhattan to play four shows at the iconic East Village venue, they raised the bar higher than ever. “That weekend in March of ‘71 when we recorded At Fillmore East, most of the time it clicked,” drummer Butch Trucks recalls. “We were finally starting to catch up with what we were listening to. We had lived together...we got in trouble together; we all just moved as a unit. And then, when we got onstage to play, that’s what it was all about - and it just happened to all come together that weekend.”
.
The four shows were recorded by veteran Atlantic Records engineer/producer Tom Dowd, who’d not only produced the Allmans’ second album, Idlewild South, but also the sessions for Derek & the Dominos project, putting Duane Allman together with Eric Clapton for some mind-blowing extended guitar duels. That album, Layla, dramatically backed up those who’d been calling the upstart Allman Brothers Band the most exciting live act on the planet, and its little-known 24-year-old leader a fiery six-string virtuoso to rival Clapton, Beck and Page. Dowd and Atlantic, consequently, wanted to put out a live album to capture a skilled and adventurous band in full flight, the two guitars circling each other like a pair of falcons, stretching their material into thrilling and electrifying shapes. No matter that the Allmans had yet to tackle most of their live material in the studio - this band wasn’t about the studio.
.
“If we could just get people to come out and see us,” Duane Allman told interviewer Bud Scoppa on the afternoon of Friday, March 12, before their first pair of headlining sets, “I know they’d like what they heard.” How right he was!

George Harrison The Apple Years 1968-75 on Limited Edition 7CD + DVD + Book Box Set

First 6 Solo Albums Remastered from the Original Analogue Masters by Grammy Award-Winning Team of Engineers including Paul Hicks, Gavin Lurssen & Reuben Cohen
Wonderwall Music, Living In The Material World, Dark Horse & Extra Texture (Read All About It) Newly Expanded w/ Previously Unreleased Bonus Tracks
Also includes an Exclusive DVD w/ Bonus Material & Book w/ Introduction by Son Dhani, New Essay from Kevin Howlett & Previously Unreleased Images
.
Universal Music Group and the Harrison family are proud to announce that George Harrison’s first six solo albums - Wonderwall Music, Electronic Sound, All Things Must Pass, Living In The Material World, Dark Horse, and Extra Texture (Read All About It) - released between 1968 and 1975 on The Beatles’ Apple Records label, have been digitally remastered from the original analogue masters for CD release in September 2014 by Capitol/UMe.
.
This deluxe, eight-disc boxed edition, The Apple Years 1968-75, is designed to complement Harrison’s 2004 collection, The Dark Horse Years 1976-92, and the new box features an exclusive DVD with several video pieces, including a new seven-minute film with previously unreleased footage. The Apple Years box also includes an exclusive perfect-bound book with an introduction by Dhani Harrison, new essays by award-winning radio producer and author Kevin Howlett, and rare and previously unpublished images.
.
This project has been overseen by George's son, Dhani Harrison: “I am so happy that what we started a decade ago by releasing The Dark Horse Years is now complete with the release of his first six albums as The Apple Years. Some of these records have long been out of print, and so I cannot wait for music lovers to get their hands on these newly remastered versions. It's a very proud moment for us, and I would like to thank everyone who has helped us in any way to achieve this."
.
The six albums have been digitally restored and remastered at Lurssen Mastering in Los Angeles by a Grammy Award-winning team of engineers including Paul Hicks, Gavin Lurssen, and Reuben Cohen. Wonderwall Music, Living In The Material World, Dark Horse, and Extra Texture (Read All About It) are all newly expanded with previously unreleased or rare additional tracks. All Things Must Pass includes the five extra tracks first released in 2001.
.
The Apple Years 1968-1975 brings together these six albums for the first time in one beautifully presented collection. Remastered with meticulous care and attention to detail, George Harrison’s Apple albums now sound better than ever before. Olivia and Dhani Harrison believe that, with the release of these albums, many songs that were undervalued when first issued will now have new light shone upon them. There are many gems in the box awaiting fresh discovery or reevaluation.
.
Wonderwall Music:
Released in November 1968, George Harrison’s Wonderwall Music was the first solo album released by a member of The Beatles and the first LP to be released by Apple Records. The soundtrack music for director Joe Massot’s debut feature-length film, Wonderwall, the predominantly instrumental album is an intricate, vibrant tapestry of Western rock music and compositions in an Indian classical style. In 1992, George recalled, “I decided to do it as a mini-anthology of Indian music, because I wanted to help turn the public on to Indian music.” Three bonus tracks have been added to the remastered album: “In The First Place” by Liverpool group The Remo Four, who played the rock elements of the recording sessions, a previously unreleased alternate take of “The Inner Light,” and the previously unreleased “Almost Shankara,” a raga that was not used in the film or for the soundtrack LP. The booklet also includes a new essay of appreciation by the acclaimed musician, producer and composer Nitin Sawney and newly written historical notes by Kevin Howlett.
.
Electronic Sound:
As a direct result of The Beatles’ keen curiosity about experimental music and other avant-garde artistic expression, Apple Records launched its short-lived Zapple subsidiary in February 1969 as a forum for unfettered sonic exploration, or, as announced at the time, “more freaky sounds.” George’s Electronic Sound and John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s Unfinished Music No. 2: Life With The Lions, both released in May 1969, were Zapple’s only releases before it was closed down. Electronic Sound’s cover art, painted by George, depicts his Moog IIIP (which was later used on four tracks by The Beatles on their album Abbey Road) with the four modules from which the sound was synthesized. Each side of the Electronic Sound LP featured one exploratory long-form work. However, the American version of the album placed the pieces on opposite sides to the UK record, but with the same titles retained on the labels. Consequently, there has been confusion about which track is which. Research for the out-of-print album’s new release revealed that the UK LP was correct with “Under The Mersey Wall” on Side 1 and “No Time Or Space” on Side 2. The CD booklet includes new essays by The Chemical Brothers’ Tom Rowlands and Dhani Harrison, as well as newly written historical notes by Kevin Howlett.
.
All Things Must Pass:
All Things Must Pass was released by Apple Records in November 1970. Co-produced by Harrison and Phil Spector, many musicians contributed to the album, including Eric Clapton, Ringo Starr, Billy Preston, Pete Drake, Gary Wright, Klaus Voormann, members of Badfinger, players from Delaney and Bonnie band, and John Barham. The triple-LP topped charts around the world and earned universal acclaim as a rock masterpiece. George became the first Beatle to have a solo number one single in both the UK and America with the album’s lead single, “My Sweet Lord,” which introduced his signature slide guitar playing. George co-wrote the album’s opening track, “I’d Have You Anytime” with his friend Bob Dylan, who also wrote another song on the landmark album, “If Not For You.” The new package includes the five additional tracks added to the album’s 2001 reissue: “I Live For You” (outtake), “Beware Of Darkness” (demo), “Let It Down” (alternative version), “What Is Life” (backing track), and “My Sweet Lord (2000).”
.
Living In The Material World:
In May 1973 came the release of George’s second studio album of new songs, Living In The Material World. He was joined in the studio by several musician friends who had also played on All Things Must Pass and others like Jim Keltner, with whom he had worked during The Concert for Bangladesh concerts in 1971. The album and its lead single, “Give Me Love (Give Me Peace On Earth)” both reached number one in America and on charts around the world. The spiritual nature of Living In The Material World, described by Rolling Stone as “miraculous in its radiance,” is also reflected in the inclusion of an illustration from the Bhagavad-Gita in the artwork. The new release adds a remix of the single version of “Bangla Desh,” which has previously been available only on The Best Of George Harrison (1976), as well as two B-sides included on the album’s 2006 reissue, “Deep Blue” and “Miss O’Dell.”
.
Dark Horse:
Released in December 1974, Dark Horse capped a prolific year for George, during which he had established his own Dark Horse record label, built a recording studio in his Friar Park home in England, and completed an ambitious tour of North America. Throughout the year, Harrison produced albums for several artists while also recording his own. The songs on the LP document both George’s fallibility, in “Simply Shady,” and his spirituality, in “It Is ‘He’ (Jai Sri Krishna).” Dark Horse reached the top five in America, sounding a high note at the end of Harrison’s rather frenetic year. The new release adds “I Don’t Care Anymore,” a sought after B-side making its CD debut, and a previously unreleased early, acoustic take of “Dark Horse.” The CD booklet includes newly written historical notes by Kevin Howlett.
.
Extra Texture (Read All About It):
In late 1974, George returned to California to record his next album, the soul-tinged Extra Texture (Read All About It), his final album to be released through Apple Records. Leon Russell played piano on “Tired Of Midnight Blue,” and for some of the sessions, Harrison was joined by guitarist Jesse Ed Davis, plus Jim Keltner, Paul Stallworth, and David Foster from new band Attitudes, who were later signed by George’s newly formed Dark Horse label. Two of the LP’s songs date from 1974 sessions for Dark Horse at George’s home studio: the soulful love song “Can’t Stop Thinking About You” and the backing track of “His Name Is ‘Legs’ (Ladies & Gentlemen).” The new release adds “This Guitar (Can’t Keep From Crying),” a song Harrison rerecorded in 1992 as a demo for Dave Stewart, who plays electric guitar on it. More than ten years later, the track received overdubs by Ringo Starr on drums, Dhani Harrison on guitar, and vocalist Kara DioGuardi. The CD booklet includes newly written historical notes by Kevin Howlett.
.

Wonderwall Music (includes previously unreleased material – In The First Place (by The Remo Four), Almost Shankara & The Inner Light)

Genesis will release the 3CD anthology collection ‘R-Kive’ on September 22nd on Virgin EMI / Universal Music Catalogue. Spanning 42 years, the 37-track set documents the band’s history with classic Genesis material compiled alongside selections from the solo careers of Tony Banks, Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Steve Hackett, and Mike Rutherford / Mike + The Mechanics. The international release of the album will follow on September 29th.

.

Genesis and their associated solo projects have accumulated a remarkable and undiminished series of accomplishments over the years, and have collectively amassed an incredible fourteen chart-topping albums as well as over two dozen more which reached the Top 10. In total, Genesis and the members’ related solo projects have sold more than 300 million albums worldwide.

.

Chronologically ordered, ‘R-Kive’ features the Genesis’s biggest hits including ‘Invisible Touch’, ‘Turn It On Again’, ‘Land of Confusion’ and ‘I Can’t Dance’. Along the way it also visits Mike + The Mechanics’ classics ‘The Living Years’ and ‘Over My Shoulder’, Collins’s ‘In The Air Tonight’ and his Philip Bailey duet ‘Easy Lover’, and Peter Gabriel’s ‘Solsbury Hill’.

.

‘R-Kive’ opens with ‘The Knife’- a nine-minute proto-punk number which became a favourite closing set during the band’s early shows, and was written before either Hackett or Collins had joined the band. In addition to 22 Genesis songs, each member’s work outside of the band is represented democratically with three songs each.

.

Such an approach contributes to a hugely eclectic body of work which features early material including the sprawling seven-section odyssey ‘Supper’s Ready’ and the title track of the conceptual masterpiece ‘The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway’.

.

Yet ‘R-Kive’ also visits the unexpected – as evidenced by Hackett’s flamenco-inspired ‘Nomads’, Gabriel’s ‘Signal To Noise’ which featured Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan (“possibly the greatest singer we had worked with”), and ‘Calling All Stations’, the sole representative from the short-lived era in which Genesis were fronted by former Stiltskin vocalist Ray Wilson.

.

“This album jogs memories about old albums, things people might have missed the first time around,” says Collins. “Most of the time, the singles always seem to be the things that are remembered from albums. Sometimes the lesser-known tracks deserve better than to be forgotten.”

.

“I’m a songwriter first of all,” adds Rutherford. “When you put these songs together, it’s a wonderfully impressive array and variety of songs. It’s an interesting combination that doesn’t normally get put on the same page.”

.

The release of ‘R-Kive’ will be followed by the accompanying reunion documentary ‘Genesis: Together and Apart’ which will be broadcast by the BBC in early October. An accompanying DVD, ‘Sum Of The Parts’ will also be issued by Eagle Rock on November 17th (November 18th in North America).

A year after reissuing their debut The Hurting in a bonus-stuffed box set, Tears For Fears is set to do the same for their monstrously successful second album, with an ambitious, multi-format reissue of 1985′s smash Songs From the Big Chair due out this fall.

While the band has yet to announce the reissue, Universal Music Group’s catalog database shows a Nov. 4 release date for Songs From the Big Chair in five formats: a single-disc release, a double-disc Deluxe Edition, a Blu-ray Audio edition, a vinyl pressing and a six-disc Super Deluxe Edition that will feature four CDs, a DVD and a Blu-ray Audio disc.

Cool! I'm assuming these are European releases? Which means the DVDs will probably be Region 2 and not playable on U.S. DVD/Blu-Ray players???

In 1970, The Family Stone were at the peak of their popularity, but the maestro Sly Stone had already moved his head to a completely different space. The first evidence of Sly’s musical about-turn was revealed by the small catalog of his new label, Stone Flower: a pioneering, peculiar, minimal electro-funk sound that unfolded over just four seven-inch singles. Stone Flower’s releases were credited to their individual artists, but each had Sly’s design and musicianship stamped into the grooves–and the words “Written by Sylvester Stewart/Produced and arranged by Sly Stone” on the sticker.

.

Set up by Stone’s manager David Kapralik with distribution by Atlantic Records, Stone Flower was, predictably, a family affair: the first release was by Little Sister, fronted by Stone’s little sister Vaetta Stewart. It was short lived too–the imprint folded in 1971–but its influence was longer lasting. The sound Stone formulated while working on Stone Flower’s output would shape the next phase in his own career as a recording artist: it was here he began experimenting with the brand new Maestro Rhythm King drum machine. In conjunction with languid, effected organ and guitar sounds and a distinctly lo-fi soundscape, Sly’s productions for Stone Flower would inform the basis of his masterwork There’s A Riot Goin’ On.

.

The first 45 came in February 1970: Little Sister’s dancefloor-ready “You’re The One” hit Number 22 in the charts–the label’s highest showing. The follow-up, “Stanga," also by Little Sister, made the wah pedal the star. The third release came from 6IX, a six-piece multi-racial rock group whose sole release, a super-slow version of The Family Stone’s “Dynamite," featured only the lead singer and harmonica player from the group. Joe Hicks was the final Stone Flower stablemate; his pulsing, electronic "Life And Death In G&A” is one of the bleakest moments Sly Stone ever created on disc (Hicks’ prior single for Scepter, “Home Sweet Home,” the first released Stone Flower production, is also included).

.

This long overdue compilation of Sly’s Stone Flower era gathers each side of the five 45s plus ten previously unissued cuts from the label archives, all newly remastered from the original tapes. In these grooves you’ll find the missing link between the rocky, soulful Sly Stone of Stand! and the dark, drum machine-punctuated, overdubbed sound of There’s A Riot Going On. I’m Just Like You: Sly...er 1969-70 opens up the mysteries of an obscure but monumental phase in Stone’s career.

I Am Shelby Lynne [Deluxe Edition CD/DVD]

Shelby Lynne has signed with Rounder Records and has recorded an album she'll release early next year.

.

Before that, though, Rounder will release a deluxe edition of the Grammy-winning singer's 2000 breakthrough I Am Shelby Lynne.

.

The reissue package, out Oct. 7, will contain six previously unreleased tracks from the recording sessions for the album, as well as a 90-minute promotional concert film shot at the Los Angeles House of Blues on April 28, 2000.

.

USA TODAY is premiering the opening number from that show, Should Have Been Better, a song that also appears as one of the reissue's bonus tracks.

.

After recording five albums for the country market that saw critical acclaim but only marginal success, Lynne teamed with producer Bill Bottrell for I Am Shelby Lynne. The album revived her career and helped her earn a Grammy for best new artist in 2001.

.

"This album is all about pain," Lynne told USA TODAY's Edna Gundersen in 2001. "Life is not fun most of the time. A lot of happy things happened in my life, but they don't necessarily make for good songs. I go with what touches a nerve."

.

Shelby Lynne: Live at the House of Blues features Lynne at the peak of her abilities, performing smoldering versions of the album's songs, along with tracks that didn't make the album and covers of John Lennon's Mother and Jimmy Webb's Wichita Lineman.

.

"I've been waiting 12 years for this damn show," she says at one point during the concert. Fans have had to wait 14 to see the film, but they'll likely find it has been worth the wait.

.

Deluxe Edition track list:

  1. Your Lies
  2. Leaving
  3. Life Is Bad
  4. Thought It Would Be Easier
  5. Gotta Get Back
  6. Why Can't You Be?
  7. Lookin' Up
  8. Dreamsome
  9. Where I'm From
  10. Black Light Blue

  12. * She Knows Where She Goes
  13. * Miss You Sissy

All your favorite hits are included like Last Train To Clarksville, I’m A Believer, Daydream Believer, Pleasant Valley Sunday, Valleri, I Wanna Be Free, (I’m Not Your) Stepping Stone, Randy Scouse Git and 53 more, 61 tracks total.
.
The Monkees & More of The Monkees were two of the most successful albums ever released in classic rock history. The mono mixes are terrific here as you will hear nuances and slightly different mixes than their stereo counterparts.
.
Headquarters will always be one of those “must haves in mono” and now you have it…. This album started the Summer Of Love in 1967 and was the last album before Sgt Pepper by the Beatles to be on the top of the charts, later The Monkees replaced the Beatles again in the top spot with Pieces, Aquarius….
.
Both Pisces, Aquarius, Capricorn & Jones Ltd. & The Birds, The Bees & The Monkees are two of the rarest mono albums from the band, as stereo was the format of choice by 1968 and mono albums were soon discontinued. We have now gone back to the Colgems mono tapes and have put these back in circulation on vinyl for the first time in 46 years!
.
A great way to celebrate the holidays this year for your favorite Monkees fans, The Monkees In Mono is in strictly limited edition and will become one of the most important overviews of this band ever released.

The Final is a compilation released in 1986 to summarize the career of British pop duo Wham!. The album was not initially released in North America, where Wham's third and final studio album Music from the Edge of Heaven was released instead. Four songs from that album appear on this compilation. For many, it remains the definitive Wham! purchase containing all the hits, most of them in their single mixes.

SUPERTRAMP_-_CRIME_OF_THE_CENTURY_(BLU-RAY_PURE_AUDIO_DISC)"

Supertramp Crime Of The Century on Blu-Ray Pure Audio Disc

Blu-ray Pure Audio Discs: No Compression, No Compromise
Blu-ray Pure Audio Discs Offer True High-Resolution 24-bit/96kHz Audiophile Sound
Universal Music Group has gone back to the original master tapes to deliver fully uncompressed, high-resolution versions of many of your favorite albums on Blu-ray Pure Audio Disc. Mastered at 24bit/96kHz, Blu-ray Pure Audio Discs deliver the sound the artists originally heard in the studio when these classic albums were recorded. These discs provide all the recorded musical information. While convenient due to their small file size, today’s heavily compressed music files do not represent the true fidelity of the original album.
.
• Recordings are transferred from the original master tapes and delivered in high-resolution 24-bit/96kHz audio
• No compression is utilized, and the sound quality is vastly superior to MP3 or standard CD
• Three separate choices of audio file format for playback: PCM 2.0, Dolby True HD, or DTS-HD Master Audio (5.1 available where noted)
• Your preferred audio format is chosen either by pressing the "Audio" button on your Blu-ray remote or via your onscreen menu display
.
Even before Pink Floyd thrust their musical message of protest under the noses of the establishment and the established with the mechano-hit The Wall, the melancholic songs of the group Supertramp had long found their way into the hearts of the young who had been shaken by one crisis after the other.
.
This album with its surrealistic, chilling cover and eye-raising title was a success all over the world and even the sternest critics showered it with praise. “Their music just floods the senses; it is as though someone has put on all the good pop records of the 60s and 70s at the same time,” hailed the music magazine Sounds – totally fascinated by their sound.
.
Crime Of The Century provided plenty of fodder for the hit charts and radio DJs as well. And even today, the balladesque collage "School" with its bloodcurdling harmonica introduction, the pearl-like Rhodes piano chords in the rocking "Bloody Well Right," and the childlike, mocking "Dreamer" are the epitome of the pop cult of the Seventies.
.
Blu-ray Pure Audio Discs:
Audio is taken from the original master tapes and mastered in 24-bit/96kHz resolution with a choice of three sound formats: PCM, Dolby True HD, or DTS-HD Master Audio. You can finally enjoy the music in the fidelity originally experienced in the studio.
.
Operating Instructions:
• Simply load the disc into any Blu-Ray device and it starts to play, just like a CD
• No video needed: Blu-Ray remote allows track selection and preferred audio format
• Alternately, use your onscreen display to select tracks and preferred audio format
.
Supertramp Crime Of The Century Track Listing:
1. School
2. Bloody Well Right
3. Hide In Your Shell
4. Asylum
5. Dreamer
6. Rudy
7. If Everyone Was Listening
8. Crime Of The Century
