Yay or nay - Theophilus London - Glam Life 2.0 Chauffeur (Sheila E. Cover) . Produced by Mark Ronson Theophilus London was on Ronson's album Record Collection on the track Hey Boy. This track follows suit with a fun throwback 80s beat similar to that album's sound. . Previous hype: http://prince.org/msg/8/363238 http://prince.org/msg/8/362193 http://prince.org/msg/8/359543 . I like how it has elements of the feminine and masculine in the male vocal, its definately a man singing from a man's perspective. A reluctant yay.

I'm hear for Sam Sparro. I'm befuddled why he's not a star (or even a contender in the pop game). I'm just sick about it. BYE! Oh...fyi, this track (by the short-lived "supergroup" Chauffeur) is from 2009. It was released exclusively on vinyl and given away with the purchase of Mark Ronson-designed Gucci sneakers.
Yay for Sam. | |

Teee I thought that was Sparro!! Thanks for confirming! And you've cracked the mystery of Chauffeur in the title. I actually stumbled on this track looking for Ronson productions, thinking it had something to do with Duran Duran. Surprised with the few back posts that no one mentioned this cover.
