To this day people still debate about this damn remake. I'm a TFF fan... so i have always loved the original.

I can respect the different arrangement of the remake. Jules did something opposite of the original and didn't recreate it. But, now everyone, likes soft piano somberness.

I think the original has a cold sound witht he synths. But i always felt the original was about the pain of depression, suicide, and living in the world cold and alone. But then dealing with it, growing up, and not just sit being sad all day. The remake is just ''sad sad sad the world sucks i'm gonna sit here and mope''

And everyone from Adam Lambert to Susan Boyle has covered the song. And done it in this exact arrangement

What say the org people? which do you like better? and why?

Well I grew up on the TFF Mad World so naturally, I do like that one better and feel more emotion from it.

TFF. Period.

I saw the commercial for "Extant" last night; they're using that whiny version.

I don't feel the TFF version at all. GJ's version migh be a cover but it expresses the pains much more IMO, love it.
