I kinda feel bad for Bobby, although If It Isn't Love just isn't the song for him to be performing to.

Bob's been out of shape for a while now. If you look at posted concert videos from the past few years, he wasn't on stage for some songs or didn't dance, just stood and sang on a mike at the side. I've heard that Brooke Payne has pushed Bobby to do the entire show on this tour. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

I've watched some of those videos, he could keep with the Candy Girl era performances and his stuff, but it was If It Isn't Love he couldn't keep up with. Observe...................

Oh no:(
Does anyone know what his health issues are?? He's really not old, so something seriously must be going on with him. Hope he gets better soon.

Damn well this is disappointing to hear. Hope this really is because of a medical procedure and not because of the other "usual" excuses. He seemed to be keeping up well with the dance steps when they performed on The View, but doing it night after night can take it's toll. Has he not been working out? I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I'm sorry to hear this. He's a heavy drinker and smoker, no? Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I thought he looked and sounded so much older and out of shape than the other band members when he was on the View... "Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything." --Plato

Well what did he (or people) expect? Considering his drug and alcohol abuse problems, smoking and bad lifestyle, I´m surprised he´s even capable of going onstage and remembering his old lyrics and singing them. Instead of quitting the tour he could speak with the others about changing the choreography a bit. It´s not really necessary to see grown men doing the kind of choreography they were doing almost thirty years ago. The others look better in comparison but it´s not like they´re in perfect shape either, they just look good compared to Bobby. " I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

Hell, they all need to quit. They've been grown and their voices changed ages ago so I'm sure they probably sound horrible singing songs like "Candy Girl" and "Is This The End". Andy is a four letter word.

ehhh...Bobby is an ole' fat fuck anyway....

ouch! but in all seriousness,he should take some time out and get himself together before committing to a tour.New Edition tours frequently so he's gotta be in proper shape to handle all that.

Damn. They just did a show in Charlotte recently and I heard he didn't sound bad. I also was told that Johnny Gill wore a nipple ring. He was the man that tore the house down though. Don't laugh at my funk

What in the world? Did he take his shirt off or something for folks to see that he had a nipple right? Oh dear. But this is the sillyness that goes along with Johnny. He's clearly the best singer in the group and I love to hear him sing, but then he's got this "extra" stuff going on. For instance, when he did his "Unsung" episode, it was great watching him showcase his talent, but what kind of ruined it was his persistance in addressing the "gay" rumors. Okay, if you're not gay, then you're not gay and move on, but it's like he was denying it so hard that he was trying to convince himself that it's not true. Then he brought out the girlfriend or baby mama, whatever she is, and showed pics of his son....umm okay, having a girlfriend and a son doesn't "cure" you of being gay, if you are indeed gay. He just irritates me when he does interviews. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

It's My Prerogative! Bobby Brown decides to rejoin New Edition reunion tour after dropping out due to 'medical reasons'He was forced to pull out due to health reasons. But Bobby Brown has used his Prerogative to rejoin the New Edition reunion tour. The recovering drug addict threw in the towel earlier this month amid allegations he had suffered a relapse, though it was insisted he was just suffering from the aftereffects of undergoing surgery. Take It Slow Bobby! Brown is to rejoin the New Edition tour he left due to health reasons earlier this month His 21-year-old son Bobby Junior told Radar: 'He’s fine. He’s about to go back and finish the last six shows.' The popular 80s boyband's reunion tour is slated to come to a close on August 3 in Los Angeles. He left shortly after a concert video was circulated which showing the slow-footed Don't Be Cruel star struggling to keep up with choreography. The singer's ex Kim Ward, with whom he has Bobby Jr. and 23-year-old daughter La’Princia, spoke out to deny rumours of a relapse. She said: 'It has nothing to do with him relapsing. It’s definitely about his health. It’s a serious health issue.' Don't Be Cruel: Some have speculated his problems were caused by a drugs relapse but his family insist he was getting back on his feet after surgery Can't keep up: The singer (seen performing in Atlanta earlier this month) was apparently unable to perform to the level of his bandmates. (L-R) Ricky Bell, Bobby, Ralph Tresvant, Ronnie DeVoe, Johnny Gill and Michael Bivins A source told Radar: 'He did have a medical procedure in Atlanta,' which they claimed was a heart stenting operation. Bobby has struggled with serious drug addiction in the past, last seeking treatment after being arrested for driving under the influence in 2012. Earlier this month the former husband of Whitney Houston decided to quit after being unable to keep up with his bandmates due to medical reasons.' In a statement he said: 'I apologize to the fans of New Edition. I really wanted to be with my brothers, but presently I am unable to give the fans what they typically expect from New Edition.’ 'I apologize': Bobby released a statement to his fans about his decision, which it is claimed was due to medical reasons TMZ claims that a representative for the 45-year-old has revealed Bobby recently underwent ‘an intrusive medical procedure’. The singer was apparently too exhausted to perform on stage as a result after being cared for by a doctor. New Edition had decided the show had to go on even without their most marketable name, but will surely be delighted at his return. Bobby was visibly unable to dance alongside his bandmates in Mississippi, as seen in a video a concertgoer posted to Facebook. While he rallied for another reunion show he soon decided to call it quits. The R&B group, which also features Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Ronnie DeVoe and Ralph Tresvant, formed in Boston in 1978. I saw them on the View a few weeks abo and they were still doing their thing Middle-aged and all..LOL...So if Bobby says he cant keep up with the "moves" I'm sure he's telling the truth...Bobby is the only one that has a hard time shaking off the extra pounds...The rest of the Guys seem to stay in shape...I'm glad that they still have a Public that will pay to see them...They are THE R&B Boy-Band from my Generation and they've paid their dues...

He probably had a moment of clarity in between puffs on the crack pipe and realized that New Edition was lame when they were young and it's downright embarrassing now.
It's like they cloned the Jackson 5 without all the talent or songwriting.

Of course he rejoined. Menthol cigarettes ain't free.

Bobby is old. This ain't 1983! I'm curious. Do they still perform "Candygirl"? If so, how does it sound with a bunch of middle-aged men singing it??? "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

He was joking that he like Eddie Murphy to play with it. Don't laugh at my funk

New Edition sued by former managers who claim they're owed $500GThe founders of Benchmark Entertainment say in a lawsuit that the band fired them last month and refused to pay them for any work they did in setting up concerts for this year.BY BARBARA ROSS

The former managers for R&B group New Edition slammed the singers with a lawsuit Tuesday. Benchmark Entertainment, whose founders have managed the likes of Will Smith, Erykah Badu, Green Day and Smashing Pumpkins, said they signed up Bobby Brown and his bandmates in 2012 and got them three concerts last year plus a larger reunion tour this year. Benchmarks’ founders, Steven Greener, Kevin Gasser and John Hammond, were paid their fee of 12.5% of the concert revenue last year, but last month, Brown and the group fired them and refused to pay them for any work they did in getting this year’s show on the road, they say in papers filed in Manhattan Supreme Court. Benchmark’s team says it is owed at least $500,000 for all their work — setting up radio interviews, photo shoots, merchandising deals, hiring a publicist, nailing down locations. Brown’s agents did not immediately return a call seeking comment. STEPHEN J. COHEN/GETTY IMAGES
