Should be fun to watch! Who did the background music in this clip? It is very Bad of Gypsies/ later Hendrix sounding but not by Jimi himself, as far as I can hear at least.

Actually the songs are early Hendrix, even before the album "Are You Experienced", I read that the JH estate refused to let the producers use Jimi Hendrix material for the film, which is sad.

That explains why I didn't recognise it perhaps. Shame they couldn't use the 'official' well known Hendrix stuff indeed.

the music sounded unexpectedly "Hendrixian" given they had no access to "official" stuff. it piqued my interested. I MIGHT see it, if only to support the Director's debut

Jimi's former girlfriend Kathy Etchingham has come out and labeled the new movie a "work of fiction", citing many inaccuracies. Also, she said Hendrix wasn't physically abusive and they weren't subjected to racism in the manner depicted in the movie. In her opinion, All is By My Side, is a damaging representation of Jimi and a gross insult to his legacy.

On her website she trashes this film from top to bottom. Not just the story, but even the the technical aspects of the movie and the fashion.
