Herb Alpert ~ Keep Your Eye On Me {Manic Mix} You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Funk AYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! I always thought this song was a little on the weird side only where it was an instrumental with some vocal libs thrown in 4 good measure, but on the whole, it was pretty tight. The best moments on that album were "Diamonds" and "Makin' Love In The Rain" 4 me. I wish Flyte Tyme had done the whole 9's and not just 4 tracks tho. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.

Herb's albums are usually instrumental including the Tijuana Brass ones. There's occasional vocal songs. This remix sounds kinda like an Art Of Noise type song.

I have the extended version, which is kinda pointless, but never heard this mix before. Pretty cool!
My fav track from "Keep your eye on me" is actually one of the non Jam/Lewis tracks LOL. "Hot shot" is great fun, though obviously Iam in the minority as it's not on youtube

I can TOTALLY hear The Art Of Noise in this! "Beatbox," specifically. Hungry? Just look in the mirror and get fed up.
