Did they really mispell Lionel Richie ....Lionel Ritchie??? Or is this a Facebook BS thing, everyone is posting a screen shot of it, Are U fucking kidding me you spelt his name wrong? And please don't make excuses cause that is straight up fucking dumb, for the people that dogged Travolta for his name butchering, U are giving the guy a Lifetime Award and you spell his name wrong, shows the disconnect, thank U for Lionel saying "Soul is a feeling not a color" props to this guy, fire whomever produced this show. this why I don't watch award shows anymore
only thing I witness is whoever gets teh lifetime achievement awards and that's it for me
sooner or later, that's going to run dry too

I think that Lionel Richie must have had the same plastic surgeon as Kenny Rogers. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

I dunno, you think he's had work done? Please don't put him in the same category with bad plastic surgery as Kenny Rogers. I think KR would have aged just fine but he really screwed his face up. I guess he didn't see that he was already aging well but now Kenny has ruined his face. Trolls be gone!

I remember a few years ago I was at a friend's house and they put in a Kevin Hart DVD. She was cracking up while I was sitting there like WTF, I didn't laugh one time. Maybe I chuckled for the sake of politeness and not to insult my friend's taste but boy that was pure hell for me!
As far as Mike Epps goes, I think some of his impressions are hilarious but I don't think I'd pay to see his stand up routine. Trolls be gone!

Im glad Kev is working. My son went to his show and thought he was funny. Hes just not my cup of tea. The last two comedians Ive watched and enjoyed was Chris Rock and Louis CK. they crack me up.

Now see....Here I was praising Nicki for giving THE speech of the night and I had no idea that she was shading one of her Peers...That's just all kinds of wrong Nicki....You're better than that...She's suppose to embrace artists that come after her not shut them down or tear them down or Shade them...Still, she looked mighty Georgeous last night...LOL....Chunky Chris Brown threw down as usual...and Yolanda Adams is today's show-stopper, she took the crowd to Church...Lionel still sounds like Lionel..He's taken good care of his voice and can still give shows....The Ceremony was pretty good this year except for the performance-cut-offs...It ran 4hrs and people STILL got cut-off...Come on Black folks let's fix that next year.....LOL...And Chris Rock NEVER ages...He looks the same and hasnt gained one pound...He could have been funnier last night cuz the producers gave him PLENTY of stretch-time, but he was still good...I'm a Fan so i'm not gonna beat him up too bad...

Oh man, I didn't see that clip but will check around online. Yeah those facelifts can be tricky because it seems that most of them draw attention to the fact that your face and neck are now even farther apart than ever. I swear these people who get fillers should see themselves on TV sometimes. Their face is poking WAY out there but their neck is far behind. Yikes! Trolls be gone!

Nicki Minaj Supports Iggy Azalea Following BET Awards Comments"I've congratulated Iggy on the success of 'Fancy,' publicly," Minaj says. "She should be very proud of that"July 2, 2014 12:20 PM ET

Nicki Minaj has clarified some of the things she said (and appeared to imply) regarding her feelings toward Iggy Azalea during her acceptance speech for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist at the BET Awards. At the show, Minaj claimed that anything she rapped, she wrote and then made a series of gestures that were widely presumed to be directed at Azalea, followed by Minaj saying, "No shade." At the time, it seemed to be in reference to Azalea allegedly hiring ghostwriters like T.I. for her raps, and became such a cause célèbre that it topped Rolling Stone's Everything Index for the week. Now Minaj has praised Azalea in a series of tweets. The 45 Best Albums of the Year So Far "The media puts words in my mouth all the time and this is no different," she wrote. "I will always take a stance on women writing because I believe in us! I believe we're smart enough to write down our own thoughts and perspective, just like the men do. I've been saying this for five years. "I fell in love with Lauryn Hill because I knew she was the author behind those amazingly profound and articulated songs on the The Miseducation [of Lauryn Hill]," she continued. "I wondered how Lauryn tapped into my brain and wrote an album on love, betrayal, passion, pain, triumph, brokenness. Did she read minds? It's the same reason I have a different level of respect for Missy [Elliot]. I know she's a writer and a producer. Women must aspire for more. "I've congratulated Iggy on the success of 'Fancy,' publicly," she concluded. "She should be very proud of that. All the women nominated should be proud. That will never change my desire to motivate women to write. Our voices have to be heard. I hope I inspire up-and-coming females to do that." Aside from her comments, Minaj told the BET Awards audience that she planned to release her next record, The Pink Print, before the year is up. The first single she has released from the album is an anti-hater ballad, "Pills N Potion," for which she made a video that featured the Game, who loses his head — literally — in the clip.

Please people dogged John Travolta for his total butchering of a name, and dont give me this nonsense if this was Stevie Wonder spelled Stevee Wonder, or if instead of Prince they would have had Prance, people would have been on the phone for this shit. You cant get these things wrong, it shows that this show is probably produced by someone that has no idea who Lionel Richie is. I'm not a big fan of the BET awards show but i agree this isn't that serious. I'm quite sure it was an honest mistake. I can see how someone can mistake spelling Richie as Ritchie as the two are similar in pronunciation. I'm quite sure Mr. Richie himself didn't have a bitch fit over this. Don't laugh at my funk
This funk is a serious joint

The BET Awards was decent this year and better than last year...But somebody needs to have a meeting and come up with better award Categories...How are you gonna nominate a Movie Actress & a TV actress in the same category when both offer different bodies of work? A TV actress can do 13 to 26 episodes in 9months VS a Movie Star doing one 90-min movie....You have to separate the fields of work....How many BET awards do they give out anyways, about 10?...Come on BET, go ahead and fork out some more cash to make some more awards and EXPAND the individual award categories so it makes sense....Whoever put the award categories together put it together as if it were an "after-thought"..."Well it's about the Hip-Hop artists performing Live anyways, Fuck the award categories."
As for the misspelling of names, The Soul Train Awards fucked up names in the 90's....Some say It's a small issue but it's really a BIG problem.....Come on Black folks and get it together...Damn somebody is writing the script for the awards, find somebody that can spell and double-check their Shit...It's almost like we're pretending to be Classy but we know the Ghetto still Lives in us...We can do better...

Totally agree, awards to honour the most coonish, buffoonish, misojynistic anti social form of music ever to hit the black community. The sooner they stop honouring this garbage called shit hop the better. As far as I am concerned its modern day coonery. . Anyone seen the NAS video about "Eat Dat watermelon", it would be great if they could honour some conscious and positive rappers for a change instead of clown thugs and gold chain fools like Lil Wayne, YG, Gucci Mane, Soulja Boy and Nicki Minaj and the like. [Edited 7/3/14 4:00am] Got some kind of love for you, and I don't even know your name
