I Think i actually understand The Eagles now...

Not that thier music was incredibly hardcore deep or hard to deciefer. I mean i get why people like them so much. I have hated them for years... they are one of the most overplayed groups in the history of the damn world confused

Hotel California & Life In The Fast Lane were played everyday on classic rock radio in my hometown.. I'm not joking! EVERRRRRRYYYYYYYYDAY.

Take it To The Limit, New Kid In Town, Desperado, Take It Easy UGH! i hated all those songs with a pure passion. I vowed to never listen to The Eagles never again...

Until this past weekend lol after listening to Hotel California & Desperado again... i finally got it. They were concept albums... dealing with everything from American life, to American materialism, to American greed and love. It's the good, the bad, and the ugly of America.

I figured they were all American loving Yankees! until i listened deeper into the songs on the album. I can see why they struck a chord here and have been played constantly since the original releases.

Plus Don Henley (Despite being an ego maniac asshole) is a hell of a freaking songwriter! and even though i always liked his solo stuff. I never understand why people thought he had such a great voice. I've come to understand that too!!

I'm wonderinf if i should listen to the rest of their work...

the Eagles are GREAT...one of the best rock bands ever thumbs up! Explore their entire catalog and you will find many more good songs.

I wanna know why R&B Artists are afraid to remake Hotel California? Nobody wants to touch that awesome song...Whitney left the Music Industry & the World speechless with her version of "I will always Love you".....Hotel California is dying to be revisited and taken in whole different direction....Who has the Guts to tackle it?
