K.C. And The Sunshine Band 1981 & 1982 Epic Albums on CD?

This is a band that I grew up with when I was twelve, thirteen, fourteen years old and had plastered all over the walls of my bedroom.

Wondering if anyone knows whether their two albums from '81 & '82 on Epic/CBS ("The Painter" & "All In A Night's Work") are due to be remastered and reissued on CD for the first time with maybe some bonus tracks? I've been petitioning the U.K. reissue labels for a few years now, but nothing seems 2b happenin'. I've always loved both of these records and although they don't compare with the KCSB "classic" sounds from the 70's, I've always felt that they were a step in the right direction. The first single from "Painter, " "Love Me," was soooo underrated. Thanks & Peaceout. smile

in some ways, the early 80s was a sad time for many of the disco acts who were on top just a few years earlier.I don't recall hearing any of the singles from these two albums...the final KC and the Sunshine Band song that I remember hearing on the radio was "Please Don't Go" in 1979.It's so unfair the way these artists were suddenly ignored.Even Chic's early 80s albums weren't given a chance to be heard.

"Give It Up" was the song K.C. insisted Epic release as the 2nd single from the "All In A Night's Work" album, but Epic didn't hear a "hit" in it. K.C. was dropped from the label, went indie, released it ("Give It Up") on his own from another album entitled "K.C. 10" and it became a worldwide smash as well as the very LAST KCSB hit. I think both "The Painter" (the first Epic album) and "All In A Night's Work" (the second and last Epic album) would do well if remastered/reissued from vinyl to CD. Then again, maybe not, but either way, there are some SERIOUS jams on both. smile
