I was just thinking about the lesser-known tracks by famous artists. There's a few that I really like but was wondering how many of you have a lesser-known song that you love by a famous artist. The one I posted below was a song that Michael performed during some of his tours but I don't think it's a widely known song.

"Regrets" was sung beautifully with a certain world-weariness and remorse, but it failed to crack the Top 40.

I know right Makes me feel old. And I'm only 38. In fact Steve Harvey plays this so much on this morning show, I kinda get tired of it. And I always loved this Jacksons song.

I never understood why Michael felt the need to have CBS change the name of the song on later pressings of the album. It's not like there aren't plenty of songs with the same titles.

At least when they remaster/re-released Triumph they called it "This Place Hotel (a/k/a Heartbreak Hotel)" on the cover.

Do any of you guys know who owned the Masters to the Triumph album? When did MJ start owning his own music? (Even if it was with the Jacksons)

Yes, the Sylvers. On yhe strength of all the good songs on this album, should have given this group a little more traction to record more than one more (make or break album) album but that didn't happen. This song did get a lot of play in my neck of the woods.

This is still a favorite on a lot of AC/Urban formats and was a hit

for the Jacksons in the 80's. I'm surprised even if you are younger

that you hadn't heard this one often on the radio even today.

This is a song from 1989 by Russian singer/composer Boris Grebenshikov. He's not famous in the US, but his background singers are (Annie Lennox, Charlie Wilson, Chrissie Hynde), and they can be heard through different parts of the song.
