Public Enemy Went to see Public Enemy last night at Electric Brixton - brilliant gig as always - crowd were bang up for it. Got rid of my 'couldn't get a ticket for the Roundhouse gig' blues. I take it that if you're in this forum, you like funky music and it doesn't come more big, bad and funkier than Public Enemy. Anybody else go?

They made the greatest hip-hop album to date. They still represent hip-hop's conscience in so many ways. I've seen them perform in their prime, and would mos def see them again. Good night, sweet Prince | 7 June 1958 - 21 April 2016

I saw them at Brixton academy in the early 90's & it was one of the best gigs I've seen. I think I only saw one other girl in the whole crowd that night! I went alone & at the end as I was making my way out of the building a a boy actually shouted & pointed 'A GIRL!!!' "We just let people talk & say whatever they want 2 say. 9 times out of 10, trust me, what's out there now, I wouldn't give nary one of these folks the time of day. That's why I don't say anything back, because there's so much that's wrong" - P, Dec '15

I saw them last year. It was a good show and it was very interesting (and in a good way) to watch the dynamic between Chuck and Flav play out on stage.
What amazed me the most during the show was, during "Fight the Power", Griff and the S1W's got on the floor of the stage to do push ups during the instrumental break of the song. That was fine but I notcied that Griff was doing one-armed push ups, and he's got to be at least 45 years old!
