Yeah that one. What was supposed to be so special about the material? It was like it was agreed publicly that this was the shit back in the day, whereas I thought it didn't really sound that different from rest of the R&B stuff out there. I was surprised to see even David Bowie telling the audiences at the 1999 VMAs how much he liked the album. I doubt he listens to it often any more though.
It had two good songs on it. Other than that, yeah, kind of boring. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

Yes! Yes! Yes! What a cringeworthy band!

Pet Sounds. I love the story of the album, the themes, and Wouldn't It Be Nice is one of my favorite songs of all time but, for whatever reason, I can't listen to the entire LP without hitting skip more often than not. And it's not like I haven't given it a chance to sink in or anything.
I'll go with this aswell. I don't get it
Indeed. Sloop John B is the only song on there I'd actually want to listen to. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”

1. MJ creeps me out. But, at least Thriller was able to overcome the creep factor for me: This, however, couldn't. I just didn't like the album.
2. Radiohead's "OK Computer". Thom's jarry and barely listenable voice along with harsh sounds over a melancholy canvas just didn't work for me.
3. Nine Inch Nails's Hesitation Marks. Boring songs, boring vocals.
4. This woman has never put out a good album in my opinion. I tried... I really tried, but her music sucks and her voice is meh.
5. MDNA . I can't figure out why anyone likes this thing.
6. Here's where I commit a cardinal sin . Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon
A coworker of mine used to play this in our shop CD-player when we worked the graveyard shift. I swear to god, this thing has put me to sleep more times than I can count.
Interesting you mention the creepiness in relation to MJ's Bad. I remember when the CD was reissued a while back they edited out the spoken intro to "I Just Can't Stop Loving You". The reason was OBVIOUS. Knowing what we know about his sleeping arrangements that spoken intro registers 11 out of 10 on the creep scale. “The man who never looks into a newspaper is better informed than he who reads them, inasmuch as he who knows nothing is nearer to truth than he whose mind is filled with falsehoods and errors.”
