I agree that we dont have very innovative rappers nowadays. I think now, artist are more focused on the money and business aspect of art when they should be focused on making original, story telling, innovative music with meaningful lyrics. Im honestly tired of hearing about money, cars, clothes, hoes, and sex in art such as rap. I would like to go back to the good hip hop that didnt have cursing and suggestive lyrics but actually taught something and told a story.

Even if we were to accept that as true, recall Em has had far more time to hone his craft that 'Pac did.

The Marshall Mathers LP, The Slim Shady LP and The Eminem Show are more innovative & creative albums than 2Pacalypse Now, All Eyez On Me and Me Against The World, it is true than Pac's music was instrumental in the evolution of hip hop back in the mid 90s... but Eminem set the bar too high for anyone to accomplish, his lyricicsm and music was pretty much new in every way.

That argument can surely be made, but Eminem reportedly was heavily influenced by Tupac's work. So perhaps Tupac inspired some of Em's innovations, as Em will inevitably (or HAS) done for the MCs that follow(ed) him.
