Love Songs...

I am really starting to hate love songs. Maybe hate is a strong word! i admire and ''love'' quite a few love songs. But i feel it's the go to topic with music and that can be good or bad. I noticed it's a trend with ''pop divas'' to do a fun/club song then a ballad or love song.

Rihanna, Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Diana Ross etc. This is the bread and butter their career has stood on. And then people like Lionel Richie, Barry Manilow, Marc Anthony etc. Have albums after album with love ballad after love ballad 0_0 it's just too damn much.

I'm not saying they have to write about world peace or social issues. But, i think it's good to venture beyond love songs. When an artists is known for it's sexual or party songs... they do a love song to show the ''other side of them'' can't you do more than just a love song to show the other side? there's millions of song subjects out there in reality. And how many love songs do you need to write? especially if your like married or some shit?

Eventually that girl or guy will stop giving up the hole over sugarization.

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener
