Axl Rose says Guns N' Roses has completed not one but two albums of new material as sequels of a sort to the band's Chinese Democracy.

"We recorded a lot of things before Chinese [Democracy] was out," the singer tells Revolver magazine. "We've worked more on some of those things and written a few new things. But basically, we have what I call kind of the second half of Chinese. And then we have a remix album made of the songs from Chinese."

Rose adds that while there is no release date for this new material, he plans to "start looking very seriously at what we're doing" after Guns N' Roses wraps up its Las Vegas residency this weekend.

Of course, 15 years passed between the band's album The Spaghetti Incident, released in 1993, and Chinese Democracy, which came out at the end of 2008.

If Rose and company do release any new music in the near future, that will be a very quick follow-up by GN'R standards.

Yep,recording an album and releasing it are two different things.If I were a fan,my only question would be: what is the release date for these albums?

It'll be out the same day as NIN's "The Fragile" special edition re-release.

There's nothing I crave hearing more than a brand new Guns N' Roses album because Chinese Democracy was nothing short of unadulterated firepower. There's only one thing left to do now, Axl: release it!

It's no secret that GnR worked on dozens and dozens of tracks in the looooong sessions for Chinese Democracy. If only they could convince the big bad record company to release some more of it....

I'll buy anything Axl puts out. But I have a hard time believing anything will come out in the near future.

He seems pretty contented just coasting, doing the same tired setlists year in, year out. Prove me wrong Axl.

Yeah im tired of hearing artists that put out albums once a century talk about the _____ albums worth of material they have ready. Every one knows the music doesnt sell, so why hold on to it at this point? shit put it on your website charge a $1 song with their following they'll probably make more of that than they did all their albums.

I thin Axl is just an assshole and likes to fuck with people. He seems to enjoy making people wait years and years for a new album. If CD was the last album of material ever put out by Axl.. or the GNR brand i would be satisfied. I think the next album that comes out in the next decade or more will be the last. Musicians can only last so long with asshole rose before they leave.

Songs recorded BEFORE Chinese Democracy? Oh yeah, nothing makes a song better than letting it sit on a shelf for 8 years. I bet it does not sound dated at all.

Axl could put out an album of himself dumping in the toilet and I'd get it lol!! Ok maybe that's taking it too far but I'm a big fan. Sadly I doubt this will come out within the next 5-10 years.

Expect them to be released in 25 years.

so, his point is that he has a vault of rougly 40 (average) songs since 1996

by that logic, Prince has completed 45 new albums that won't be released
