What will be the song of the summer of 2014? Make your predictions and comments.

Ahhh. Summer. sun The time of the year when the weather gets warm, people wear lighter and skimpier clothing, go out to the beach, amusement park, or swimming pool, and have lots of barbecues. It's also the time where people crank up their radios or blast their favorite summer jam from their speakers. music

But what song is going to be the summer jam of 2014? Sure, last year brought us "Blurred Lines" with Robin Thicke and a trio of topless hot babes in his video, and it also brought the retro funk/disco vibe of Daft Punk and Pharrell Williams' "Get Lucky" which was inescapeable. (It also brought us Miley Cyrus twerking to "We Can't Stop" but that's another story.) 2012 brought us the catchy "Call Me Maybe" by Carly Rae Jepsen while 2011 brought LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" and Foster The People's "Pumped Up Kicks." Katy Perry arguably had two of the biggest summer jams in "I Kissed A Girl" (2008) and "California Gurlz" (2010). Who could forget past summer jams like "I Want It That Way," "We Belong Together," "Crazy In Love," "Hot In Herre," or "Sweet Child Of Mine"?

But back to this summer. What song will be the anthem of 2014?

Will it be "Sky Full of Stars" by Coldplay?

Will it be something on the new album by Mariah Carey, pop heiress?

Will it be Mariah Carey's heir apparent, Ariana Grande?

Will it be from her her rap interlude partner, Iggy Azalea?

Will it be "Summer" by Calvin Harris?

Will it be from Australian boy band 5 Seconds of Summer?

Will it be "Am I Wrong" from Norwegian sensations Nico and Vinz?

Will it be "Chandelier" by Sia?

Or will it be something else? Maybe a song that hasn't been released yet? Discuss.

hmmm typing

"Love Never Felt So Good" by Michael Jackson has all the makings of a summer smash music it's a smooth, breezy jam.I feel the same way about "Loving You",another song from the Xscape album.

How about soccer songs?

You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Worlwide speaking? That's either La La La by Shakira or We Are One by Shitbull, as you know soccer die hard fans make 80% of the world population and they'll damn sure sing that song day and night just like they did 4 years ago with Waka Waka...

US speaking, I think it's that Iggy Azelea song (Fancy) or the one with Ariana Grande..

Ariana and Iggy's Problem and it's a long shot but I wish they would release Pharrell's Brand New as a single because it had what it takes to be a lighthearted but (ahem...) groovy summer jam. Love Never Felt so Good is also likely to clean house this summer, something I'm not sure how to feel about.

I somehow don't want this summer to be another disco-filled summer, that's for 2013 only, it's what's so special about 2013, its the disco revival; Daft Punk, Bruno Mars, Robin Thicke, Pharrell.... These guys made great funky songs and were a soundtrack to the summer of last year.

I'm good with any sound this year but EDM.

Even though it dropped as a single in Spring, this is the biggest hit on Iggy's album ("Problem" isn't even on it), and I noticed a lot of friends/family enjoying this. As well, when the radio is playing a current song, it is usually this one!!

I just want good music;I couldn't care less if we have another disco/ old school summer. Outside of Blurred Lines, those songs were the highlight of an otherwise bad year for music in 2013. This summer is looking a little dicey.

if Pharrell's song "Gust Of Wind" (with Daft Punk) was a single right now,it would possibly be THE song of the summer music
