Question: Is there another/recent version of 'I Will Always Love You' by someone else besides Whitney? I heard a version on the radio this afternood and I don't believe it was Whitney Houston singing but whoever was singing was copying Whitney's version because she sang every single inflection that Whitney sang. I know it wasn't her. I think I know the song well enough to recognize her voice.

which version GLEE cast sung by Amber RIley, Dolly Parton or Linda Ronstadt Nick Ashford was someone I greatly admired, had the honor of knowing, and was the real-life inspiration for Cowboy Curtis' hair. RIP Nick. - Pee Wee Herman

Not Dolly, nor Linda Ronstadt. It might be the Glee version but I listened to it and it doesn't sound like the version I heard on the radio.

There's a scene in "THe Body Guard" where Whitney is in some bar with Kevin and a Country singer is singing "I will always Love you" on the radio...So yeah there are other versions and one is done by a Male....Dolly said Elvis "people" wanted him to record it but they wanted to buy the song/publishing rights but Dolly wasnt having that so she turned them down....
