The Wonder Years

The moment fans of The Wonder Years have been waiting for is here: the beloved TV series is finally getting a DVD release, according to TVShowsonDVD.com.

The complete DVD set, which will be released by StarVista Entertainment/Time Life later this year, will include the complete series with most of the original music intact — including the title song, Joe Cocker's "With a Little Help from My Friends."

An official release date has not been announced, but will be in "the second half of 2014," according to TVShowsonDVD.

"The Wonder Years has long been the most requested TV show yet to be released on DVD, and we're thrilled to have the incredible opportunity to bring this iconic show to its many fans," StarVista Entertainment/Time Life Senior Vice President Jeffrey Peisch said in a statement. "As we've done with many other classic TV shows, the series will be treated with the care and attention it fully deserves after all these years, with deluxe packaging, robust extras and a lot more. We're really big fans of the series, too."

StarVista Entertainment/Time Life also released the complete series of China Beach on DVD last year.
