I got three:

"Broken Hearted Me" by Anne Murray, 1979 Capitol Records,

"Someone That I Used To Love" by Natalie Cole, 1980 Capitol Records,

"Vanishing" by Mariah Carey, 1990 Columbia Records.

Some pretty tragic shit in these titles. sad

this wasn't a sad song, but it always recalled a sad moment

James Ingram's JUST ONCE...awesome song

that song was release the same period in 1981 when my paternal grandmother passed

everytime that song aired, I would always start crying thinking about my grandmother

and it got to the point where whenever that song came on years down the line, I would never listen to it..........

The first one that comes to mind is Close to you by the Carpentars. I think the song is beautiful bought the melody is so sad. It tears me up when I hear it. The other song is, I can't live anymore, the one Mariah Carey covered. Again, beautiful but very sad.

This is another song, that reminds me of my ex. She always used to say, "You did your best, but it wasn't good enough". "This is why we can never get anywhere". It also reminds me of something that should be in a Broadway play....
"Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

in japanese however i have provided translations. enjoy!

Another Cell, Funerary Dream.

Softened pools of sunlight...
Flicker into shimmers of haze
And softly touch my eyes

Those peaceful days from back then,
So pale and fleeting now
Spill from the spaces between my fingers

yawarakai hidamari
kagerou ga yurameite
yasashiku hitomi ni fureru

yubi no sukima kara koborete yuku
awaku ano odayaka na hibi

Broken, disconnected
Your voice echoes like a buzzing in my ears
Did you know? I find myself searching still
For the touch of your fingers caressing my hair

togire togire
miminari no you ni
anata no koe ga hibiku
ne, kami o naderu anata no yubi o
ima mo sagashite shimau

A shallow sleep
At slumber's end
Reality peirces through
And the world reels

azai nemuri
madoromi no sono ato ni
saki-sasaru genjitsu
sekai ga kurameku

Where did you go?
Don't leave me here alone...

No matter how I call
No answer to be found...

doko ni iru no?
hitori ni shinaide

ikura yonde mo
kotae wa nai

Time will pass as if to crash down
Everything becoming but a dream
You voice will float within the wind
As I'll let myself sink deep into its depths

ochiru you ni jikan wa sugi yuku
nani mo ka mo yume ni naru
anata no koe ga kaze ni nagasare
yume no soko e shizunde yuku

Meanwhile from far away
At the dreaming's very end
Fleetingly, transciently,
You'll smile and laugh still

haruka kanata
yumeji no hate de
hakanai
anata ga warau

Well C'mon Teletubby Teleport Us to MARS!!
