Unreleased and unfinished. Slacker.

It's an outtake from Songs In The Key Of Life! Recorded in 1974/75 during the very first sessions for that album.I get chills listening to unreleased music from Stevie's 70s heyday.

Sounds more akin to the FFF sessions.

Robert and Malcome have both said that a lot of SITKOL are leftovers from previous sessions.
Although, this doesn't sound like a production of theirs. Always cry 4 love, never cry 4 pain.

Really surprised Stevie's catalog hasn't received the same kind of deluxe treatment that other Motown artists have received. "It's not nice to fuck with K.B.! All you haters will see!" - Kitbradley

well, all of his major albums have been remastered, but I doubt we'll see 'Deluxe editions' because Stevie doesn't want to dig in the vaults and release the outtakes. He's probably a little ticked off that snippets of those songs keep leaking.

I think Stevie owns all the tapes of his stuff starting with Music From My Mind, not Motown. I don't think Motown had the original tapes for their remastered CDs of this material. I read somewhere that Music Fidelity Sound Lab had used originals for their versions though. Don't know if it's true or not, but there's also that rumor that Stevie has it in his will to have his recordings destroyed upon his death. You can take a black guy to Nashville from right out of the cotton fields with bib overalls, and they will call him R&B. You can take a white guy in a pin-stripe suit who’s never seen a cotton field, and they will call him country. ~ O. B. McClinton

Perhaps he'd be better off releasing stuff from his vault while he can still cash in, and stop faring about with that gospel album he's been working on for so damn long! It's been too long since you've had your ass kicked properly:

Truthfully, I'd rather hear Unreleased & Vault Stuff than anything new!!!!! Although A Time 4 Love wasn't bad.....................

I feel terrible for saying this, but I agree I feel the same way about Prince.Give us the old stuff from the vault and I'm satisfied!
