Nick Cave- The Ship Song

Wow...

Who knew a guy famous for singing about murder, death, abusive love, serial killers, and wicked women. Could make amazing ballads that give me the feels!

Pistols sounded like "Fuck off," wheras The Clash sounded like "Fuck Off, but here's why.."- Thedigitialgardener

All music is shit music and no music is real- gunsnhalen

I knew!!

I do like Nick Cave. Yahoo just ran a ridiculous 25 rock and roll singers who could only sing rock and roll article--included Cave, saying he couldn't sing ballads, blah, blah.

I've always loved this song.

Eddie.. I think if they were talking about the old Nick from his Birthday Party days that would make sense, but he's proven as a solo artist he can do ballads very well.

Change it one more time..

Nick Cave is beyond amazing. He constantly releases great music. They way he uses words, the rhythms of the language is amazing. And "The Ship Song" is one of the greatest songs I know. And this the greatest version of it I know:

Hey loudmouth, shut the fuck up, right?

They were talking about the Birthday Party days as his good stuff--they didn't seem to like the later developments.
