Jay-Z + Beyonce Drop Surprise Tour Trailer, "Run"

The imperturbable couple play Bonnie and Clyde-esque criminals in the action-packed promo for the summer tour , which features an all-star cast.

I don't know. This movie looks like it's embracing gun culture. Too predictable. Two other people besides J and Bay could have played those roles. I just don't think Bay can act, and I could never take her characters seriously in movies. I think Alicia Keys would have done better and been more believable in that role, but Bay probably would have had a fit if J had a different lead, female actress in that role. Seems to have other good actors in the movie though.

Its not a MOVIE its promo for the ON THE RUN TOUR dates this summer. The wording at the end should have mentioned TOUR THIS SUMMER.

Once again glorifying and glamorizing guns and getting money by any means necessary. The 'Bonnie and Clyde'imagery is so tired now. Do people really want to emulate or imitate them? If Jay and Bey did their research they also killed people. If this was a real film no way I would pay to see these two act on screen.

Hell yes!!! You said it! Their obsession with this "Thuglife" bullshit is hilarious. I know Tupac has to be rolling around in his grave dying laughing right about now.

And for them to incorporate such established nearly legendary actors (as well as my favorite actors) such as Sean Penn, Don Cheadle, Jake Gyllenhal, and my boy Guillermo from "Scandal" into their trailer? For a fuckin' tour? WTF? Guess we can say the obvious, they definitely got clout, but damn, a fuckin' trailer for a tour? Really? And no Bey can't and never can ACT. HOWEVER...the song at 2:40 is kind a hot though. I'm not a fan of Bey, was a fan of Jay back in his "Reasonable Doubt/Blueprint" days but I'd definitely buy that song on iTunes. Anyone know the name of it?

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

The title of the song is "Part II (On the Run")". It's from the Magna Carta album.

It's like they're trying to pass off as some kind of "royalty" but then also trying to do the Bomnie and Cylde thing. I think Jay Z hitched his star to Beyonce's wagon and now that he's her manager, she might start doing more of this nonsense. Both of them seem quite contrived to me at this point.

CoolMF

Pretty cool. Movie trailer, with real actors and a sizable production budget, to promote the upcoming tour? I'm impressed.

No one else is music is doing it on the Beyonce level, on the Jay-Z level, or on the Beyonce/Jay-Z level. Kanye, Katy Perry, and Gaga are doing big things, but these 2 are doing bigger things...

Exactly but everyone is on JAYZ's shit, so when he does a song like "empire" he is mr new york, get the fuck outta here, he aint NYC at all and that song is the last thing i think of here in NYC. He with his fake "streets" and then going back to his hood in a limo with bodyguards and windows rolled down, speeding through. Fake ass images both of them, all of a sudden she is tough? when did that happen? when daddy and mommy were handing her everything. enough with this HYPE couple already, let your music and tour and talent speak not your fake ass images.
