Billboard Awards 2014 Discussion = Performances, etc.

The 2014 Billboard Music Awards are Sunday, and one additional pop star may be in attendance: Michael Jackson. Well, his likeness may appear on stage, anyway.

A federal judge ruled on Friday that the show’s producers will be allowed to go ahead with plans to use a hologram of the deceased music legend in a performance promoting the singer’s latest posthumous album, Xscape. Judge Kent Dawson said there wasn’t enough evidence to show that use of the 3-D image violates patents held by Hologram USA Inc. and Musion Das Hologram Ltd. Those companies, which brought rapper Tupac Shakur “back to l... Coachella in 2012, filed an emergency lawsuit on Thursday, claiming their technology was being used without authorization to depict Jackson performing the song “Slave to the Rhythm.”

This will be, fairly enough, the worst TV show of all time. A look at the nominees would be enough for ya to dump this show. And oh, Jennifer Lopez recieving an Icon award.... You tell me.

I seriously, seriously have no idea why they chose J LO for this award? J LO is not even a good singer, she can BARELY sing on key, her image and all is just superficial and unnatural, LET ALONE her Latina fakeness (She tries hard to sound & look like she's a Latina singer // speaking spanish and such) while she has no single latina bone in her body and what she has is uncomparable with true latina singers like Selena or Celia Cruz. The "Marc Antony/J LO" marriage also managed to get her in the tabloids & keep her name in the scene.... Her albums are all bad albums in every way, production, vocals, lyrics.... She's just so bad.

I don't know a single person that likes anything she's done 'artistically'. Heard some singles about ten years ago. Utter shit. Can't act either. BUT i'd rather see everything she's done vs Beiber duetting with MJ's force ghost. Fucking hell. confused

LOL, JT, Bieber, Chris Brown and all these guys rely on a dead man to have back their superstardom, shame on them, shame on sticking to something that it should be a legacy instead of a gimmick. MJ is the only one who can dance like a machine on stage, play an imaginary guitar and scream OOOOOOHHH with the wind blowing in his face. Stop imitating MJ, superstars, have your own image.

I recognize a back-handed compliment when i see one. MJ has been topping the charts for 45 years. You realize how much music has changed in that time? How many genres he survived and came through? The barriers the man broke? The longevity and relevance is incredible. Sorry you don't see that. There's been big changes since Motown '69. Still here, still #1, pissing off some people. Tough shit. That makes me laugh.

Big pity he's being forced to duet with Bieber tonight, but if Morrisey or Prince were dead, I'd wager the teen idol of the day, or record companies wouldn't be particularly interested in a hologram of them of their man of the moment to performing with th. (That's my back-handed response . You see what i did there, Morrisey avatar, Prince site. You get it, i'm sure)

Michael Jackson might be a commodity now but he always was, and always will be, a total fucking boss too. Lest you or anyone else, forget.

Anyway, There's more important things than differences of opinion, I'm sure you agree.

Too late! mid-40's. I despair. Infact i'm sure is this shit entertainment is served up to kill us people that remember older, better stuff off. I'm convinced we peaked artistically as humans in the 60's/70;s lol

.

Tech might be better, but modern musical art is totally fucked. A person that likes J-lo and Beiber? i can't understand that at all.

.

I'm the same with movies too. Example. I watched the Robocop remake the other night. What the fuck was that shit? You poor, young bastards.

Just wondering where the fuck the rumor that Justin Beiber is doing a duet with Michael on the BB awards show came from? FTR, that is NOT true.

I clicked on links to other sites reporing from here on the org (MJ Sticky) reporting LA Reid had said something. If this is true, well it's nearly as annoying/upsetting as Mike dying. Again. Anyway off to bed, i guess whatever will be on youtube when i wake up.

Strange dreams tonight no doubt.! lol

Wow harsh words but true, mostly. I'd like to believe not everything in modern music is a poor remake version of the earlier years' though! It's just that the rare organic modern music like that won't be shown at music TV shows like this...smile

I wasn't either. It felt off. Like it was moving too slow for the song, and I'm just tired of the hologram performances.
