I do like Nick Cave. Yahoo just ran a ridiculous 25 rock and roll singers who could only sing rock and roll article--included Cave, saying he couldn't sing ballads, blah, blah.

I've always loved this song.
Eddie.. I think if they were talking about the old Nick from his Birthday Party days that would make sense, but he's proven as a solo artist he can do ballads very well. Change it one more time.. | |

Nick Cave is beyond amazing. He constantly releases great music. They way he uses words, the rhythms of the language is amazing. And "The Ship Song" is one of the greatest songs I know. And this the greatest version of it I know:
