The R&B crooner christened “Good Kisser” as the first promotional single from his upcoming as-yet-untitled seventh studio album, the highly-anticipated new collection is scheduled for release later this year via Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records.

It serves as the follow-up to 2012’s “Looking 4 Myself,” which debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 Albums Chart.

Among the producers roped in for the album are Pharrell Williams (Brandy, Justin Timberlake), Da Internz (Rihanna, Trey Songz), Tha Bizness (Drake, Chris Brown) and Thomas “Diplo” Pentz (Katy Perry, Tamar Braxton).

On the songwriting front, Usher has teamed up with Eric Bellinger (Sevyn Streeter, Fantasia Barrino), Planet VI (Tessanne Chin, Kat Dahlia), Bebe Rexha (Nikki Williams, Selena Gomez) and Max Martin (Dido, Britney Spears).

Ugh @ Diplo and Max Martin being involved. Both are "pop" producers and that's where Usher's music has taken such a savagely WRONG turn over the past 5 years. He needs to make this album strictly R&B and a throwback to pre-OMG. I don't want no dance/pop or electro sounds from him again.

Interesting. with the producer and song-writer line up it seems his label's trying hard to give him another big hit at any cost. The teaser has caught my interest, we'll see if it delivers.

Change it one more time..

Yeah, the same ones. I'll check him out when it drops. Interested in hearing what Pharrell produced.

His last album didn't deliver the genre-defying songs he'd promised, containing only one truly unforgettable song "Climax". I, for one, am getting tired of the electropop stuff.

I'm curious about what Da Internz are going to bring to this album. They did a great job on that JoJo EP last Valentine's. What they did with Anita Baker's 'Rapture' and Phil Collins' 'Take Me Home' was out of this world.

.

I keep hearing about this Eric Bellinger guy. He's on that new Mýa track, but I've barely a clue who he is, otherwise.

SMH Pharrell did production on two songs from Looking For Myself also.

I'm kinda feeling this! The F-bombs were unnecessary (and I usually don't mind), but I like what he's doing with his vocals here. I'd love to hear him perform this live.

“Good Kisser.” Produced by Pop, Flip, JProof, Terry “Tru” Sneed, Natural and Oak, the radio ready single definitely has some awesome innuendos and racy metaphors.

I just happen to see this last night. Crap song. But, it's hard to find much wrong with someone who is as adorable as he is. biggrin I wouldn't spend a plug nickel on the song, though.

I like it! Even though I stopped keeping up with his music as of Here I Stand, he's still a natural born entertainer! I was not disappointed in the performance. Song is pretty tight as well, imho. Like the sorta retro feel to it. He handled the lower register notes okay too on The Voice.
