I don't follow them like that. But I do know that I have no qualms about JayZ supporting or just hanging out with his artist. I usually don't trust tabloid type stories until time reveals that they were true. Not a good source.

That's a good way of looking at this situation. Many tabloid "sources" are 99 percent of the time unnamed, so a 7-year-old could be a source and the general public really doesn't know what the truth is. I think "sources" tend to be publicists, other celebs, managers, etc.

The media machine has christened them as the "it" couple but she has never seemed particularly assertive to me. If so it's probably moreso in her professional dealings than in her personal life anyway.

Some people are real tough at work and a pushover at home or vice versa.

Jay Z and Solange Knowles went looking for jewelry together Tuesday afternoon at a high-end NYC jewelry store ... TMZ has learned.

Our sources connected with the store say Jay and Solange were in Mr. Flawless, where they were looking for women's jewelry for around 20 minutes.

We're told the pair showed no signs of strife, and looked at gems with Mr. Flawless himself. They looked, but tried nothing on. They left the store without buying anything.

Jay and Solange didn't talk much inside the store ... they pretty much just browsed quietly.

There's no place for that kind of behavior. Something tells me that if Jay had popped off like that on Solange, he would be facing assault and battery charges.
