Even tho Mariah sang it betta than Cherrelle,,,the original version stand as the betta since it brings alot of memories.

Best of Cherrelle's songs are her duets with Mr.O'Neal nod

I'm seeing the low-budget, "King Kong" spoofed video in my head right about now. biggrin

Ha! Ha! Me, too! We were just talking about this song and the video at work Friday! We were comparing Cherelle's versio to Robert Palmer's version. I didn't even know Mariah did a version of this song. Cherelle's version is my favorite.

Cherelle's version will always be the best because it i the original true version, 7 minutes of DAMN omg funk!!! The synth and Percussion made it very complex and out of site!

The video I have not seen since I was 7 years old, so if u have the video, i'd gladly PAY 4 a copy! smile

of course the orginal jam and lewis version will always be a classic, i liked robert palmer's version cause it maintained the orginal's funk, and he made it his thang by changin the key and hypin up the drums and keyboards...

I like the "remix" version of this song, which has a lot of echo, is really overdubbed, & finishes with the the music-
& the bg singers repeating the "didn't mean.." refrain-
being played BACKWARDS!

COOL!

Yeah, Cherelle..
she can sing, is attractive & had more clevage that I thought, looking at the picture of her on her last album, whose title I can't remember..

for obvious reasons...

smile
I'll see you tonight..
in ALL MY DREAMS..

the Song that got JeallyBean Johnson at the time Fired From Paisley Park.didn't know at the time that JellyBean could Solo like that&did He ever Blaze on the Long-Version."Innocent" was Basically "Get It Up" Part 2 but it was So catchy&Worked because Alexander knocked-out the Vocals."Saturday Love" was My Jam with Alex&Cherelle.
