I've been on the fence about John Legend. But something about his voice and material don't quite "WOW" me. All Of Me, isn't bad, but I agree, his voice doesn't stick, it doesn't make me care.

He's one of our best right now, certainly better than talentless hacks like Timbersnake and the Blurred Lines sucka. Green Light's still my jam, fuck Christgau. lol

He has a unique singing voice. He should pimp R. Scary.

I'm so sick of "All of Me". John Legend is from my home state (Ohio), so the radio stations play the HELL out of that song. Every time I turn the radio on, that song is playing on one of the stations (and I promptly change the station).

I think the lyric, "You're crazy and I'm out of my mind", to be odd. I guess the lyrics mean that she's crazy and he's out of his mind because they're so in love with each other. I don't know for sure, but I've never liked those lyrics.

nice boobies, though.

Get Lifted is a great album and his most recent one is good. I didn't pay much attention to the albums in between though. If he stays true to himself he will have a long, successful career and then maybe he could be compared to Tony Bennett... but he has a long way to go.

Yeah he'll probably be around for a while. It also seems that he doesn't have much (mainstream) competition at the moment. John Legend isn't a "song and dance" artist like Usher is, so it seems like there's no one else that is in the same category as John Legend at the moment.
