on this 1978 soul classic.

While i hear its a drum machine my question

is how can it be the first use of Linn if the first version of that drum machine

was produced in 1980,1981?

It's not a LinnDrum or an LM1.

Need to listen to the song again but it could have been a Roland CR-78 which was released that year.

Heart of Glass by Blondie and Vienna by Ultravox both used the CR-78 around that time as well.

How can it be when the LM1 didn't exist when this song was made? I suppose they could have had access to a prototype if they knew Roger Linn.... Let me do some research

Wiki says Dont You Want Me by Human League is one of the first songs to use it. Love Dont Live Here was made before then.
