As long as the album is just Madonna, and not her hooking up with whoever the artist of the moment is...no Nicky Minaj, no Timberlake, no Pharrell...just M. She never use to need other people to prop her work up, so why now... www.filmsfilmsfilms.co.uk - The internet's best movie site!

In an interview with Q Magazine in late 1994 she said 'I'm Breathless' was her favourite album of hers so this maybe somewhat true. [Edited 2/17/14 2:35am] 3121... Don't U Wanna Come?

As much as I admire Giorgio Moroder,I'm not sure if he could poduce something great in this era.If Madonna wants to make a 70s-inspired disco album, then he would be the guy to go to (lol),but I don't think that's what she has in mind.
Instead of Moroder,I think Pharell would be a good choice. The other rumored producers are fine.
6 songs produced by Daft Punk (4 uptempo,2 ballads)
4 songs produced by Pharrell (uptempo)
4 songs produced/written with Patrick Leonard (2 ballads,2 uptempo)
There's the album right there

Moroder can create catchy-danceable-glossy modern dance-pop/euro-dance, I still trust him Pharell needs to f*ck off

I love Giorgio! His recent remake of Love To Love You Baby on the Donna Summer remix compilation should demonstrate that he still has the talent. That remix is huge. Maybe if she teamed Giorgio with a younger or more-seasoned vet (Mirwais? I would freaking DIE) they could come up with something really astounding. Also didn't Madonna and Pharrell fall out during Hard Candy? I remember hearing about how they were both a little too perfectionist for each other. [Edited 2/17/14 10:13am]

Nile Rodgers: I want to work with Madonna again
Exclusive: Nile Rodgers wants to work with his best friend Madonna after revealing he’ll be making more music than ever after beating cancer. The 61-year-old Chic star wants to team up with Madge again, having previously hit the studio with her on her Like A Virgin album. ‘I adore Madonna. If she ever wants to work, I am totally down,’ he said, adding that she had helped him kick drugs two decades ago. ‘For a gazillion years I have always said she is the hardest-working person I have ever worked with. She is the most dedicated. The most focused and I absolutely adore her.’
The New Yorker also revealed he is putting the finishing touches to a new track he made with Brit nominees Disclosure and critics’ choice winner Sam Smith. ‘We cut another song at the same time but it was so amazing that we wanted to spend time and get it right,’ he told Metro – having previously worked with the British musicians on a track called Together. ‘They sent the new song to me three days ago and I put a new bass line on the second part. It’s scary!’ Rodgers stole the show at the Warner Music Group & Belvedere Brit awards after-party at The Savoy with a set featuring 45-year-old Kylie Minogue. He also told fans to expect to hear a lot more from him in the charts after being given the all-clear from prostate cancer. ‘A little over three years ago I was diagnosed with extremely aggressive cancer and, I don’t mean to make light of it, but they were counting me out. And I thought “You know, I’m going to do more music and more records than I have ever done in my life”,’ he said.

Madonna to work with Drake and Daft Punk?by Bang Showbiz | 17 February 2014
Madonna wants to duet with Drake on her upcoming album.
Madonna wants to collaborate with Drake. The 55-year-old singer has confirmed she's started working on her new album, the follow-up to her 2012 'MDNA' soundtrack, and she'd love to have the rapper collaborate with her on one of the songs. When asked if she's planning a new album, she said: ''Yes, plans are in the works already. Don't ask me with who - it's a secret. Top secret.'' When asked if she has plans to work with Drake, she told the Canadian Press: ''If he'll have me!'' Meanwhile, the 'Hung Up' hitmaker previously said she wanted to get in touch with Daft Punk because she wanted the electronic duo to help produce some of her tracks. She said last year: ''I would love to work with Daft Punk. Just waiting for them to return my call.'' However, it appears Daft Punk told Pharrell Williams - who has worked with Madonna in the past - two years ago that they were also interested in collaborating with the energetic star. Pharrell said: ''We were at a party for Madonna's last album and I was like [to Daft Punk], 'You guys should have produced this! Why did that not happen? Madonna and the robots would have been unbelievable!' They were like, 'We're working on something'.'' Contactmusic

Without the long break and the Superbowl Halftime Show performance, this album will probably get half the attention MDNA got, unfortunately. She's better off starting the tour even before the album is out so nobody would pay attention at low album sales.
As for collaborators, I don't see Daft Punk giving her tracks, their style is different, all the Patrick Leonard, Nile Rodgers and Giorgio Moroder reunions/collabs are just fan wishes, nothing more. She will obviously A&R a lot of tracks from songwriters and producers and make an EDM album again. People like Max Martin, will.i.am or Fernando Garibay might be a safe bet, considering her last 3 albums has producers previously recorded with Britney Spears (Bloodshy & Avant, Danja, Klas Ahlund)...

A little cynical aren't you? Yes, she has worked with dance music producers but not quite the mainstream ones you are saying such as Max Martin, Wil I. Am and Garibay. Bloodshy and Avant have worked with lots of other artists besides Britney. On Madonna forums, it's rumored she's working with Diplo since she and her manager are both following him on Instagram. And why shouldn't she make an EDM album? Dance music and clubs have always been at the heart of her music from the very beginning. Aren't Daft Punk and Giorgio electronic based producers too?
I think the long break actually hurt rather than helped MDNA. Out of sight, out of mind. It happens with a lot of artists, the longer they go away the less well a new album does because fans move on and lose interest if you take too long. But album sales for all artists her age are pretty low. People don't buy albums that much, they listen on spotify. But people seem to always want to attack Madonna for being a failure, and not other artists of her generation.
