It IS on Xcsape but the song is renamed "Chicago. The Deluxe version had two versions, the orginal'and the New Timbaland version wich i dont like because if the weird sound effects and its nothing like a rock song anymore.
They probally redubbed it CHicago because the first three songs contain the word love. [Edited 5/5/14 9:38am]

So why Timbaland and not Will.I.Am - who actually did work with MJ? Are we ever going to hear those tracks.

Will.i.am refused to work on the "Michael album because Mj didnt give their work his blessing/ is partially unfinished. I guess for that reason, i think Will.i.am could cash in big time if he wishes but i respect him for not sharing those songs. Shows that he has dignity and stand by his word, and he has great respect for Michael. Mike didnt have many people around him who had that kind of respect.
I really dislike Timbaland working on this stuff. In 2006 he said stuff like he had the magic up till bad, and he could still have it if he worked with Timbaland. And he would do a song but not a video with mike. While now he has a chance to work on songs he said he wanted to complete his own legacy. Its all about Timbo, he didnt keep the essence in Chicago( she was loving me)
Only thing that saves that mix is indeed the voice

Same :/ I really love LNFSG but with JUST MJ's vocals. I dont like the fact that JT and Timbo was apart of this. Timbo is FULL of himself

Tim's production on Chicago is gross and disrespectful to the vocal. Why did it even need to be "contemporized?"

I know opinions will always be mixed, but I like the tracks thus far. At least they fit together and don't sound like a random jumble of songs, like the last album did. And those who don't like the remixes can enjoy the original versions. I'm looking forward to hearing the originals of these songs, and if the ones we've already heard will differ at all from the leaks.

I was looking at other forums and 16 year old piss their pants for Timbo s work and keep repeating about how curent it is bla bla. How is a real bass guitar and drums not curent?
"Remember that many of you were afraid of how Timbaland would deliver this project?

I absolutely love LNFSG, it doesn't sound that modernised. Sounds great on the radio [Edited 5/6/14 2:06am] She Believed in Fairytales and Princes, He Believed the voices coming from his stereo

Justin Timberlake version sounds modernised. I think that version sucks. LNFSG sounds like it was recorded this way, but they added drums , strings and bass. original demo is just vocals, piano and fingersnaps

Not only that I think it is disrespectful to his legacy. He know dag on well that production sounds nothing like something MJ would create.
I just want the original songs. [Edited 5/6/14 3:17am]

Just heard Loving You and once again, another really good song. The notes almost remind me of Stevie Wonder - Do I Do. Very simple song yet very good. I guess my only gripe at this point is why Timbo added those duck sounds to Chicago. Otherwise, I really like this project so far.

Justin Timberlake was added on this 1983 song original because Sony and the estate don't believe Michael Jackson (because of the superficial image over the past quarter century) can not sell this record by name alone.....
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
Do they have much of a choice? Afterall, these were demo's to songs not good enough to make an album.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
LNFSG really was a demo, with Chicago in original form i dont think it was a song that was not worth to be on Invincible. I mean , Earthsong and They dont care about us where from 1990 original, and where reworked for HIStory. Not too bad to be on Dangerous imo. Cant let her get away, She drives me wild, Gone too soon are weaker then those songs. But perhaps they didnt match the material MJ was going for

exactly, we're talkin about an album featuring demo recordings, not finished work
the musical standards as a whole beyond MJ has regressed immensely
MJ was so prolific during the initial stage of his adult solo career, he was making such excellent music...in 1983, LOVE NEVER FELT SO GOOD didn't make the cut because MJ didn't feel it was on par
in 2014, it does........

I agree mike is rolling in his grave at the moment. But not all songs where just demo's. When i think Demo i think "in the back , or LNFSG original with just the piano and fingersnaps. Xscape was pretty much finished and i remember reading messages from his team being pissed of for the song leaking on the internet.
he would never be glad to have us see this is it rehearsal, or finsished songs for us to hear, not even those hand written song titles would have his aproval. But on the other hand, i think he was so insecure the last years of his life that nothing could be good enough and meet his standards.
Even if he had a new Billie jean it would not have seen the day of light in his life time. Thats what my feeling is telling me and i respect Will.i.am for that. [Edited 5/6/14 5:14am]

Nothing made him roll in his grave more than the whole Michael album debacle. That was a disgrace. At least with this project, it seems the Estate made a real effort and I have to admit, so far, I think the album is pretty darn good. It's better than what I expected.
- E-mail - orgNote - Report post to moderator |
The songs that i heard this far have exceeded my expectations too. Even i shaked my head when "Cant get her weight off of me was nog included instead of LNFSG. But they finished it up real pretty.
I think i will like the "Orginal version of Chicago. And my opinion if its an improvement or not wil vary per song

I love everything I've heard so far but "Loving You" is so damn good. What a great track. "And When The Groove Is Dead And Gone, You Know That Love Survives, So We Can Rock Forever" RIP MJ
"Baby, that was much too fast"...Goodnight dear sweet Prince. I'll love you always

Timbo nailed this one. He made it simple. I really think MJ would've like this one. It sounds so MJ.

Does anyone else think Loving You sounds just a tiny bit sped up compared to MJ's natural singing voice? "That's when stars collide. When there's space for what u want, and ur heart is open wide."
