I am really looking forward to this album! I think the path the Estate is taking with this one is a great one! I can't wait to hear these contemporized tracks, especially the ones I have never hear before, along with the demos of these songs in non-youtube quality! From the reviews I have read so far, it seems that this will be a good one! (some are comparing the reviews with that of 'Dangerous').

I'm not so sure about the "contemporary sound". It's annoying, that someone like Timbaland gets the "gig" because he's a multi-platinum producer. Ironically, his "wicky-wicky-wicky" sound is actually quite passé now. I would prefer if they went the other route, and produced these with an old school OtW/Thriller vibe - I would be interested in hearing, what for example Questlove & James Poyser (and D'Angelo) would come up with!

From the previews I've read, it sounds like there is indeed a strong disco/'80s MJ influence anyway. Proof of the pudding will be the eating (listening), I guess. There ought to have been a single announced by now... I bet, as with 'Michael', any singles will come way after the songs in question are old news, as happened with Hollywood Tonight, which got heavy airplay on BBC Radio 2 in the UK shortly after the 'Michael' album was released.

I think the "Michael"album scared people away from the org. I have more faith in this album but im not sure if the contemporary sounds are gonna benefit the songs or not. I can imagine it working with LNFSG

When was that announced?! Thanks

*The 1st single is Love Never Felt So Good and will be officially released on May 5th*
As I previously mentioned, there will be a song from the new album (LNFSG?) played on the iHeartRadio Award Show on May 1.

I think most of it was said when he was here. Plus the lack of discussion on him lately generally just makes this sticky all the more unnecessary. Perhaps it's time this went.
I'll remind the mods of their so-called 'flooding policy' which they're not really adhering to themselves.

We all know that Jesse Johnson is on the new album. But I also heard that the bonus track with the deluxe edition is a recently unearthed duet-version of 'Bad' with MJ and... Morris Day!
Seems Morris heard about Prince turning MJ down and stepped 2 the mic. It's gonna be good!

Should be kept as a sticky. Jackson fans are still trying to flood the threads. Just a month or so ago there were numerous individual threads started on Jackson albums and when the mods combined them into one big post there was mucho complaining. If the sticky goes the non- Prince forum will be overrun with Jackson related threads.

So was LNFSG "contemporized" for this album? Or was there a different version recorded back in the early 80's that is disco-like?

At least Beiber isn't on the album anywhere. .
the 'featuring' Timberlake track is track 1 according to this site, so not the bonus track? .

I hate the JY version, horrible Timbobeat box and JT vocals sound out of place. Like the solo mix

I actually like the Timberlake version. Maybe even more than the solo version. Probably not going to be a #1 hit, but it's still very good and I like it.

I'm liking this! Here I was, totally prepared to be indifferent and I couldn't stop bouncing in my seat. Classic, classic MJ. [Edited 5/2/14 5:49am]
